I decided to play a new game in comquests and got the best start since I have been playing Civ... In the year 590BC my capital is siz 10 after building the Pyrmids and I am in Republic already...

Still some things to do.
Bump up luxury tax a notch or get another luxury. Then put out the last worker in your capital.
Aim for either 15 or 30 shields per turn. Here you have 23, but that wastes 16 every second turn.
If you drop to 15 spt, you can probably get enough food to grow fast enough to REALLY spam settlers. The let your other cities handle the military building.

i've had better.
2 cows, 1 wheat and a deer once. (coal showed up later)
ofcourse i'm the type that keeps restarting untill i get a good start.

Me too, except I only really reload if I have a start I don't like, rather than if I don't have one I like. I prefer to start next to the sea too...

Looks like you are in your golden age at the moment, which is why you have 23spt. By mining plains you could probably get 20spt at size 12, maybe 25 with the mined mountain.

You should see the starts that you can get in Marla's world map, especially on Europe. I guess it's just to make those tiny little Euro civs competitive. I would post a screenshot but I don't know how to take them.
