I am afraid the crap-on-a-disk called Diablo 2 is going to destroy Fallout 2 in today's title fight. Let's prove that the gaming community has a mind, and pull off the upset.

Diablo 2 is a game for idiots, so it will probably win. But it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

I have never played Fallout 2, but most of the people that use the battle.net multiplayer are hackers or idiots, so I will vote for Fallout.

While I myself prefer the original Fallout, Fallout 2 was still great fun.

Diablo 2 was clicking, clicking, clicking...the only redeeming quality was the cinematics, which I admit were very well done.

Too bad the evil corporation Interplay decided to shut down Black Isle Studios while Fallout 3 was under development.

Fallout 2 is ten times the game that Diablo is. No question who my vote goes to.

If only Fallout 3 was possible... sniff... sniff...

The "evil" corporation of Interplay also gave us Fallout 1 and 2, let's not forget.

I'm certainly not going to vote. I love both games equally and I simply can't understand how you can even compare the two... they are to totally different games

Diablo seems to be winning.

Fallout 2 is only a few hundred votes behind, it can catch up.

Yeah, the big difference is that Diablo 2 sucked and Fallout 2 was fun. :D

I have a feeling that 90% of the Diablo voters have never played any Fallout. And the other 10% threw a tantrum & gave up, before making it through the Hall of Trials.

I once read a guide for Diablo 2 that contained one word repeated many times. That word was "Click."

I vote Fallout 2, although I have never actually played it. Played a demo of one of them though, and I liked it. :)

Gamespy's contest is a joke. What's with the whole "extra life" thing anyway? If a game is out, it should be out. Well, it would be an interesting concept if it weren't for those stupid 3-way matches. Those just ruined everything. They should have had a seperate loser's bracket or something.

Either way, I don't care about the outcome of Gamespy's contest. Way too PC-heavy. I only play PC for the occasional Rise of Nations or SimCity3k (for nostalgia reasons).

CFC seems to be way too PC-based as well. :hmm:

Diablo is running away with it. So many people that have probably never played Fallout.

'Cause if they had there is no way they could possibly pick it over the masterpiece that Fallout is.

I just don't get why Diablo is so popular. It's not that fun. I remember being hooked on the first one when playing it through for the first time, but then I finished it, and I never really played it again. Diablo 2 was fun until the third act, then the repitition got to me. The little monsters that shoot you and run away became unbearably annoying. It's just a click fest.

But, beside stints with Team Fortress Classic and Red Alert 2, I'm not much for multiplayer, especially with L33T speaking dweeb teenagers.

I don't think it's too PC-heavy. Consoles have been playing catch up to the PC since Doom, anyway.

Console games seem pretty mindless to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Quake is right now losing to Halo. The democracy is failing!

I think Halo is a lot more fun than Quake. Halo is my favorite console game, bar none. I don't think I even played all the way through Quake once.

Gah! All those Diablo fanboys need to get their heads out of their rears and actually play Fallout before they even think about voting against my beloved.

Fallout 2 is possibly the greatest RPG of all time. Right up there with FF7.

I believe you have it the other way around. PC games have been playing catch up to the console since Pong. :p

Of course. I forgot about the trailblazing console games such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Tekken...the list goes on and on.

Grrr...I demand a recount!

Oh well, doesn't matter because F2 would have been against Starcraft and Diablo 2 (again). So, if it didn't win by itself it wouldn't win against those two.
