Our little trip to the mountains didn't unveil anything spectacular, although we are coming closer to confirming our entire coast.

Now that the Warrior is out there, I would really like him to stay out there and determine the status of our coastline. For this reason, we will need to determine a "riot plan" for Fanatazuma. I have kept things the way they are for next turn, so when it comes back we will have to make a decision that turn. Do we:

1. Switch the laborer on the mined grassland to a Scientist? This should benefit our research, as we are currently 9 turns away from Warrior Code. It will switch to frowth in two, but will also delay the Warrior in production.

2. Switch the laborer on the mined grassland to the Forest. This will halt growth in time for us to build the Warrior in production on the same turn that our capital grows. Then once the city grows, we can determine if we should send this unit out exploring or not(in which case we would have to implement the Scientist strategy).

To me , #2 seems obvious, but did I miss anything? Please discuss.......

Also, I see two possible city sites to our east. One that captures the bonus grasslands in the southeast and one that has access to fishing in the northeast. At this time, I would prefer the southeast site as the Fish tile won't get full benefits until we leave Despotism.

That's all I have. Check out the screenie and post your thoughts. :)

hmm... I now doubt there is going to be anything more to the south - which I thought was going to be quite prosperous :(
There still could be something up by the plains to the NE, so I say we head 1 square due north, then decide what to do afterwards :)

To combat rioting, use the luxery slider. It was the big-name players who taught me to do that in the earlier game period.

Our second city MUST be on a river to have 3 food in its city tile. I say build it on the forest southeast to be on the coast, the river, and have 2 bonus grass tiles. in the immediate radius.

Tight city builds are ideal, so I would say this is as far as we should venture.

I also like the idea of raising the luxery slider.

Move our warrior dead north next turn.

I agree; lets raise the luxury slider to combat unhappiness.

I am not a big fan of the luxury slider, but if the big names say it works, who am I to argue? ;) I will add that to the list of options and if it doesn't affact research tooo much, I will implement it.

And yes, the Warrior would head due north. Just making sure everyone is okay with that.

Finally, tight builds are best for protection on open land. But if we can confirm that the lands to our east are protected by water, we can afford to spread it out a bit. Let's investigate the south a bit more before we commit to a tight build. :)

You may not be a big fan but this is the very basics of the game. BTW, are the common citizens allowed to post such things? I mean questioning the decisions and preferences of the President and other high rank officials.

This is a direct democracy. Basically it's supposed to go that we citizens do all the decisions, then elect a president to actually do it for us.

In other words, the more questioning of our officials the better. This holds true for real politics as well ;)

Akots, this is a free democracy and you may put forth any opinion or agenda you see fit.

You should know that in Turn 9, I did indeed implement the Luxury slider, which produced great results. So while I will always state my opinion on the direction of our nation, I have no problem with being proven wrong. ;)
