I have recently reinstalled Civ3 and patch 1.29, and I am unable to use my all of my function keys. F1,F4, F7 & F10 work. the others don't. Is this a hardware issue?

I have a PC 1Gig HZ Pent Clone with XP OS.

It is just an annoyance more than a problem.

I've never heard of this before. To test it, you could always just try pressing these buttons outside of the game. In "Internet Explorer" for example - which you are probably using right now.

If you press F1, IE help should appear.
If you press F4, a drop-down history of the sites you've been on should appear.

F7 and F10 won't do anything, but you could always test 'em on some other program.

Hope that helps :) But, you'll probably have to get a new keyboard...

I have checked but they seem to work fine with other applications. They just don't work in Civ.
