I'm going to be launching a new website soon and want to have a forum to coincide with it. I've looked at Proboards.com, since some of the Other Civ Sites threads link to it. I'm curious as to what others I should look at? Does anyone have a fave?

Invision boards are great. You should definitely check them out.

As you mentioned proboards, you might be looking for a free hosted board, you can also try invisionfree (http://invisionfree.com/), myikonboard (http://www.myikonboard.com/intro.php), boardnation (www.boardnation.com) or ezboard (http://www.ezboard.com/).
If you can run a message board from your website then you've got invision, XMB, phpBB, yabbse and a dozen more for php/mysql sites, ikonboard or anyboard for cgi/perl or snitz and webwiz for asp sites.
I haven't tried all of these. ;)

proboards suck, ALOT. ;)
I use phpbb2 for mine. If you need a host, like to provide just a database and disk space, just PM me and we can work something out. :)
If you are hosted yourself, and your hosting supports PHP, then it should be all good. You need MySQL, remember. ;)
Also, phpbb2 is HIGHLY customizable. www.phphacks.com provides thousands of moderations for the boards.
