This is my mod of the WW2 in the Pacific scenario.
There are 2 changes:

1. The victory point threshold has been raised from 40,000
to 60,000 points. This will allow more time for the allied
counter attack to develop. The later battles for the Phillipines,
Okinawa and Iwo Jima can now be part of the scenario.

2. The player oder was changed, Japan now moves first and
the Netherlands moves last. This was done to avoid the bug
with the "no movement on first turn" flag. To read more about

In this game Playboy is Japan and I am playing all 4 allies.

Playboy is off to an impressive start on the first turn
he has taken all 4 cities of the Phillipines, Hong Kong,
Rangoon, Kudat, & Bhauket in Southeast Asia. In the
Pacific he took Wake, Guam and Manokwari in New Guinea.
He took only one city in China, Nanning. He may have
streched things a little thin and I was able to make some
succesful counter-attacks, such as the one which destroyed
his paratrooper near Sibu.

I have mobilized the economies of all countries, except the
Commonwealth, for war. Australia needs to build some
aquaducts in a lot of smaller cites to realize its full economic
potential.

I will reserve a spot here for comments on the Pearl attack
and the US Navy later (top secret stuff) and also for my research
priorities

Playboy has seized Manokwari and has 2 infantry
outside Sarmi.

Japanese breakthrough in China!

Imperial Japanese forces after unleashing a massive bombardment leading to the capture of Xi'an, probed further to find a lightly garrisoned rear area. After combat engineers linked Kaifeng and Xi'an by rail, mobile infantry and armor were able to take advantage of the newly constructed Chinese railways to bring troops to the front line resulting in the capture of three additional cities beyond Xi'an and the decimation of Chinese forces in the field.

Iwas planning to break the road leading into Xi'an but
for some reason decided not to, what was i thinking?
Playboy took all the rest of the cities in China on the following
turn, except for the capital.

He also completed the conquest of Borneo.

I had a problem with my attachment on the last post, here
is the screen shot of New Guinea. The destroyer Kortenear
has just sunk a transport, but not before it unloaded a tank and 2 artys.

China has fallen to the Imperial Army, as has British India. Marching down the Malay Peninsula, Imperial forces have taken Kuala Lumpur as well. Borneo and Celebes have been consolodated into the Rising Sun, and the islands of Tarawa & Rabaul are also now territories of Imperial Japan.
