I'm affraid for my eyes,cause I have only regular one (no TFT,not even flat)!
And I play 12 and more hours when I play.

Umm, one that glows in the dark.

I have seen the Yahoo Computer Glasses at Walmart, they have a yellow tint to them and are supposed to block the higher frequency lights. Sort of a blue blocker for the heavy Computer user.

No monitor is going to save your eyes at the rate you mention! :)

For normal use a 17" flat screen monitor should do. This is what I use and the price has gone down a lot with the influx of the plasma types.

17" Regular Monitor. They are not especially good for you, and the new Plasma ones, or LED, or whatever they are are better for your eyes, but meh. I haven't had problems - yet. This thing is bulky though, I am considering spending the @ 400+ CDN$ it would cost for a Skinny LED one . . .

I used to have a 15" monitor, but with my new computer I got an UltraSharp 19" monitor! It's a nice, big, clear LCD.

I have a Samsung 17" LCD....

@RealGoober --> There's a diffrence between a plasma and a LCD, Plamas are generally much beetter, and therefore more expensive.

I have a 19" KDS flat CRT. Big & bulky, but it looks nice.

i have a 19" ViewSonic CRT. as dreadcthulhu said, big and bulky, but very nice :)

17'' Acer TFT, I love it :)

19" LG Flatron, and despite the name, it's a CRT... I don't know for the other computers, except CRT.

21" Dell - but I still can't see those small pieces - good thing for sound effects.

19" ViewSonic. It takes up over half of my desk space and I love it. It beats the crap outta my old 15" monitor.

19" Samsung Dynaflat. I'm thinking of getting a new monitor this summer or whenever they they drop the price below $600 for a 19" plasma display (by Sony, NEC, or Samsung).

17" LCD Samsung paid $450. Our 19" Samsung DynaFlat CRT just died after 3 years in service.

Old-school 15" Packard Bell Craptron. :lol:

Still using my good old 17" sony monitor.

Going to use it for a year or two before getting a flat panel.. same for my 2 year old 1.2 GHZ computer.. :)

An old cheap 19" Samtron 95P plus. It hasn't destroyed my eyes yet but I tend to keep 5-15min. breaks every now and then.

I went from a flaky 15" CRT monitor to a 19" Dell flat panel. Yegods, the amazing difference!! You can get them for $550ish (refurbished) including shipping (sometimes) at Dell's website.

Almost the same thing I have! :D I 've got a SyncMaster 172T, I've only had it for under a year, but so far I love it...

Only weird thing is that I have a single copletely dead pixel... It's weird, because it's in a complety random place.... not a corner, or a side... Anyways, hopefully there won't be any more anytime soon.... :D

I'm using a 5 years old Viewsonic E771 (17") and it does the job. It really looks dull when compared to my girlfriend Samsung 900NF though... I guess I'll change it in 1-2 years or when something goes really bad... my money is better spent elsewhere for the moment!

19 inch ViewSonic CRT. Bought used for around $90. Will probably get another (used) CRT, 21 inch this time. I saw some online for around $100.

LG 19" TFT, flat, very nice. :)
