I saw something new the other day. I had a small island off of the enemy continent. Only had room for one city, so I used it as a privateer base. It was a perfect location and I wiped the sea clear of enemy (undeclared) shipping. As I got ready for D-day, I stopped suppling new ships and let my pirate fleet diminish. I had noticed a bunch of German frigates moving in on the lsland and I would pick off individuals as they left the stack. My last privateer sank while attacking a stray frigate. On their next turn all of the German frigates sank! No other civ, no barb they just scuttled their whole fleet! I guess it was a peace dividend. I hope theirs was more effective than ours. Has anyone seen anything similar? (I was playing as the Hittites at Regent in C3C)

I've had civ's that had 1 movement military units on exploration that blundered into my territory by mistake disband their units rather than risking my ire:evil:

Did you have any other navy? Maybe the AI thought it didn't nead a navy, and would rather use it's support on other units.

I had several cruisers and, I was not actually at war with the Germans at that time. I think the AI built a fleet just to go after the privateers.

weird, I really couldn't give an opinion cause i dont have conquests, but i will anyway. Ive seen that AI doesnt build ships untill after i disbanded all my privateers. They must have changed something in conquests, because all of my naval experiances are completley oppisite from urs.

I've only ever seen them disbanding workers that were deep in my territory and we were at war - the workers were in my territory becuase it was formerly their territory! ;)
