Our Settler is on the move!

Yes, our Industrious worker finished the road in time to let our Settler move the full three tiles. And apparently the river didn't affect his movement either. So our new road will really come in handy as we are moving units to the west. :)

We will build our new city in 2 turns, so it is time to nail down a name for it. I had propsed Merrick in honor of the "Elephant Man", but Regent Man made the point that our rivals may be able to decipher the reason for our name. So, I am open to suggestions, but would like to discourage the use of our forum names if possible(ie Gainyville or "Zarnland" ;) ). Though I can be swayed if its inventive enough. :D

And more good news! The "landbridge" in the east is not one after all. With that discovered, we can now feel free to send Wally southwest. :D

Incidentally, I am slightly concerned about our unescorted Settler, but not too much. Is there any cause for alarm?

With Fanatazuma back at Size 1, I was able to drop Luxury back to 0, and raise research back up to 100%. Still, the lack of pop has moved us to 21 turns for Alphabet(from 17).

Just so you know, the 3150 BC save has been distributed. If you didn't receive one, you need to post in the Save Game Mailing List, located near the top of the Forum. :)

Here's the big picture.

Do you know the diffaculty level of barbarians? And what have we decided on building next in the capital city?

I'm not at all concerned about our undefended settler. At this time there aren't any barbarians yet. We might have to be more concerned about wandering foreign warriors.

We could confuse the enemies and call it coalville.
Maybe they think we have found coals:p

I take that as a personal attack (saying my idea wasn't creative), and as reperations ye can name the town GainyVille :D Or not...
...if not, i'm in favour of Jobbyland :mischief:
I agree we shouldn't name it anything to do with the actual location.

I've never played a full game with Barbarians, only really played with 'em a few times, and gave up pretty early. I really have no idea how rampant they are on particular levels. Emp.Napolean, it says at the UN, but I can't be bothered to go look. Do it yourself :p

It's probably too early to name it New Fanatazuma. Do we want to name it that has something to do with the forums or just whatever? Maybe Fanatica (Fanatika) City?

I think we should build a city where the warrior is now later on after all of the other cities are made to get the fish bounus.

We could call it Swamp City.
