Korea has been a punching bag for East Asia, especially recently. It was invaded by Mongols in 1231 and unsuccessfully attacked by the Japanese (1592-1598) and the Manchus (China) (1627-1636). In 1905 it was occupied by Imperial Japan. In 1945 after WW2 the Japanese were driven out by the USA and USSR who then occupied it causing a division which lasts to this day.

An AW vs Mongols, Japan, China, America and Russia.

Since I'm a newbie to game variants like AW I will be playing regent. Also I would like to ask what are good settings for AW and wether you want this to be story (eg Then he got stabbed and keeled over dead) or a report (eg Then my Sword killed his Spear).

I picked Korea since there is a good historical background for this AW and they have the challenge of a poor UU.

I would prefer a report.

I second the report. Storylines are too long and boring most of the time fore me.

Sorry if you don't like screenshot heavy stories- I will try to improve them and reduce the number but unfortunately I am stuck with Paint at the moment so can't really edit them properly.

You know, I was just going to let this one slide due to lack of interest, finish the game without making a summary and post whatever result I got. Unfortunately my secondary hard disk just went kaboom and I lost half my games including Civ3 and all the saves.
