iam having trouble with this saved game, after 1-2 turns it crashes every time ,when the computer moves.
iam running win xp, with 512 ram 1.1ghz

Can you provide a bit more description? What happens prioir to the crash? Are you getting any error messages etc? Does it crash to the desktop, or simply freeze?

its always crashing and returning to the desktop,i think my computer has a bug in it ,its doing funny things which are not funny any more when you lose a game ive been playing for months 300x300 map 12 civs ,was just completing my railroad

Given your question in the other thread, it might be a patch issue. In the original Civ3, patches fixed some mid to end-game issues (eg air intercepts causing crashes etc IIRC).

Does it crash if you start a new game?

its when the computer makes its moves ,so i cannot pin point what triggers the crash,i dont have any mods ,ive just the bigger map and i edited the roman legions to build citys

Well, it might be something caused by that mod. Can you post a save file, and I'll try to replicate it (just let me know civ version and patch version etc)

this is my saved game ,it will crash with in 2 moves and it always happens when the computer moves.

the year is about 1525
a large maybe 100+ citys 10 civs ,roman empire

the legion has been modifed ,stronger and can build citys

my civ verson is 1.09f

i tryed to load a 1.27f patch and it didnt work right so i had to reinstall

iam just trying to up load it ,its 8mb so bear with me

That zip file is corrupted. Use the upload file (javascript:openupload()) thing at the bottom of the page to upload your file to the server, and post the link to it.

If it really is 8 MB, then I won't be able to check it until nbext week (dial-up at home) :(

i think the problems gone ,

i erased my copy of civ3 which was from a friend

i had to buy a new copy from the shop ,put the update 1.27f and then tryed to load my saved game.
tense times.
but yes it works so far but its very slow ,ive played a few turns and its still fine,even past the point where the saved game crashed before.
i know its early days but its looking good.
