HERE ACCOUNTS THE MASS INVASION OF THE OLD WORLD AND THE VICTORIOUS ARMIES OF THE MAINLAND AGAINST THE RUTHLESS INVADERS.

Okay The year is 2895 all techs have been researched by most civs. The map is a 180x180 world map. I was Rome my past glory empire in asia had long since fallen but peace now reigned throughout the world. All civs were engaged in this massive world. My civ was a rich obvious superpower and encopassed southern europe and bled into west russia and north africa. I was allied with China, Carthage and Britain in a mutual protection pact. The only single nation that could possibly stand against this quadrouple alliance was the unballeivably strong, America.
The U.S had taken almost all of North america and mexico and as far as i knew had a military double to that of our alliance (RCCB). Things went well for another 4 turns. World relations with the U.S had faultered after they invaded the Iroquois and forced them off the continent.
Now the following is a tactic which stunned the crap out of me i didn't even know AI was capable of this. I had recently moved troops toward the ottoman border after their mood for me had changed for the worst. Then suddenly three ICBM attacks on Rome, Pompeii and Veii by america stunned the s*** out of me. Transports appeared in the medeteranean and marines stormed three cities. Then i moved the ottoman troops from turkey but they didnt get further than greece. After i ended my turn i say York and Liverpool taken from the british andPeking, Beijing and Shanghai sacked. Carthage was able to hold out. After i drove the yanks from italy i called for russia's aid but they didn't axcept.
After i ended my turn i saw another wave of americans (crazy eh?) i lost 2 battleships and lost sicily and southern france. The english lost scotland, the chinese, Hong Kong. American tanks rolled into Roman occupied france and 3 new ICBM attacks rocked western russia.
:nuke:
I then got the message that russia had a military alliance with U.S against the RCCB as soviet (they were communist) troops retook western Ukraine. In a matter of 4 turns most of the RCCB had been taken over and the old world was in shambles.

I eventually realised the old world was hopeless as the u.s took rome and the italian boot. I built up a naval force in Edo (i had taken it from japan in 800 A.D) with this i marched into west america and with the aid of the Aztecs cripled america. i declared peace with america. Other civs of the RCCB took the scraps of my old empire. And so after an amazing sneak attack i was left with only Edo and a few american cities to rule. It was at this point in 3000 that i resigned.

Damn! That would make a good story. You have any savegames at all? If you did you could do what I do now, use image software to color what it would have looked like. For an example look at my story,
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83049
Or "The Wrath of Amon-Ra"

That is pretty good tactics for an AI, although in my game a powerful trading partner declared war 10 turns after every one else had, figuring i would be tip[ped out by him. Luckily I'm soon gonna nuke his ass.
You still could have built up America and then tried to enact revenge(although i see what you mean, 3000 AD is almost too long)

For photos of windows or anything else, I use Hyper-Snap Deluxe(tm). Of course I don't pay for the full version, so that annoying stamp is there. It features some paint-like features and allows you to save in all kinds of formats mroe freindly to server space.
