I was just watching the great film "full metal jacket" and i suddenly had an erge to play CIV3 with Capitalist vs Communist.
Id just started the game with a new Civ added by me - The Vietnamesse with their unique unit. Unfortunately i had a problem, when i reached the industrial age i really wanted to see the marine carrying an M16 like the marines are in the film and he wasnt he was carrying that other gun :cry: (i think its an AK-74 but i really dont know much about guns) and i am really hoping somone could help me out, id just like a simple copy and paste effort with the guy firing an M16 from his shoulder, ive been using the modern infantry by balou as a replacement for the Modern Para anim and as an ACAV unit but id like to have the marine but firing an M16,

N.B. Also id like him to hhave a continuous fire rather than the 2 rounds Balous unit does (just to add variety in the game)

i think kal el made a 'Grunt' unit and it's somewhere on the graphics forum. "Full Metal Jacket" is a fantastic flick. best nam movie IMHO.

yea he did, but i dont think he changed it to an M16
its stillthe civ 3 generic marine gun

and i agree about FMJ, though i do like we were soldiers and Apocalypse now

Try Balbou's Modern Infantry. I'm not sure if he is holding a M-16, but it is a pretty good unit. I'll post the link in a sec, unless someone beats me to it.

ive got that, i noted it the origional post, but id like to have a different unit for the grunt than the one im using for Para

how about replacing the .wav files for the sound effects?

yea, i know, i guess im just really picky, i know its not hard to do but i am really bad at unit making and id just like this unit so bad

search through the unit graphics forum then. or try one of the other sites. i'm certain you'll find what you're looking for

well im using kinboats modern soldier at the moment but he just wasnt right, so im using him as a South Vietnamesse soldier and i guess i will have to search, but i will still hope to fet agreat unit creater to do this for me

dude...there's a ton of em out there. just take a little time to peruse the forums. i know sween made a vietcong soldier and for the vietnam scenario we're working on, we've added in a few different asian-type units

yea but none with an m16

then i'd look for sound files b/c i couldn't tell you if there's a unit out there w/ an m16
