It's finally ready to be released. This mod comes with all the necessary files and two maps, one is of the South Pacific and is rather challenging since most civs start on small islands, and an easier naval-based map. Download (Sorry that it had to be a 7-part file, it's really not that big):

Part 1 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands1.zip)
Part 2 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands2.zip)
Part 3 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands3.zip)
Part 4 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands4.zip)
Part 5 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands5.zip)
Part 6 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands6.zip)
Part 7 (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/PacIslands7.zip)

Here are some features:

24 All-new civs including Polynesia, Hawaii, and the Philippines with cities and great leaders.

18 All-new units including the Hokulea, Pu'ali, Micronesian Canoe, and Laser Armor.
6 New resources replacing previous ones that didn't fit into the Pacific islands including lumber (required to build some ships), fruits, and sugarcane.

Despotism has been replaced by Dependency as a government.

This is version 1.0, and is still missing some things I'd like for the final version such as leaderheads, some civilopedia icons, etc, but is entirely playable barring any undiscovered bugs

Sorry about that, I'm having some uploading issues at the moment. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out soon.

Any comments from anyone?

I think Australia looks a bit too fertile. Shouldn't it be mainly desert? The only fertile land is on the east coast.

I like this map. :goodjob:
I´ve downloaded it and will test it tomorrow.

I believe that preview is a little outdated, because I have since added more desert to Australia.

Good job! Another great cultural-pacific mod like the Native America mod! :goodjob:

Easter Island might make a good civ, you should think about adding them into the mix!

Your mod is great.:)
The only thing I now desire were Leaderheads and then your mod is perfect.

Thanks for the compliments! I too would like leaderheads, I'm thinking about using the flag leaderheads. It may not be a person, but it at least represents the nations.

is this for [c3c] or [ptw]?

It was made in PTW. It may work in C3C, but I haven't tested that.

Sween has done leaderheads for both the Hawaiians and the Polynesians, you can find them both at this site I believe...

I thought about including those, but they increased the download size significantly, so I wasn't sure if they were worth it.

There's a nice Liliuokalani by Veera Anlai. Would be perfect for the Hawaiians.

I can't believe it! I was always planning on doing this myself. Unfortunately, though, I too am having problems getting the files from the 7 sit archives installed in the right place, and there is no info in the readme. I thought I had it but it quits at the starting location. Can anyone please help? Like maybe restuff this in the proper directories? I'd love to help improve for 2.0 if the author is interested.
