Argh, this isn't really that bad, but it's annoying. I know the Civ3 music isn't GREAT, but I do want it.

I've had Civ3 since the day it was released, and the same with PT and Conquests. Now, I just recently began playing it again after a lengthy hiatus, and so I reinstalled it.

the only thing is, the CD is quite scratched, and I was lucky to get through it at all! I couldn't do a full install, and so had to do a minimum one, minus the bink videos and game music. The thing is, it's the game videos themselves that are messed up, as the install stops right near the end when it is copying them. The music is fine.

Now, there will be no music IN the game, except for the menu or in diplomacy. I tried going onto my Civ CD and just copying the music into my sound directory, and that worked, but STILL there is no music.

I'm thinking it must be trying tor ead it off of the CD, right? So I searched for an .ini file and couldn't even find one to change the path, arrgh. What can I do here? is there even an .ini file? Because I can't find one.

Can you get your install CD resurfaced?

Forget sound. I watch Tv when I play civ. No need for sound on this machine.
