View Full Version : A possible bug?

Maybe someone else has seen this, and since I don't know how to go about making an official bug report, I suppose this is as good a place as any.

Here's the details...

I was in enemy territory (fairly early in the game), and I continued to move through their territory until they finally got peeved enough to tell me to get out or declare war type thing. Well, I said I would leave and my unit moved automatically. However, my unit was moved right on top of a hut (which I was headed for in the first place). I only know this because I heard the sound associated with taking a hut. No dialog popped up or anything, and I didn't know what was going on. This got me stuck. It took a couple of tries to get out of negotiations with this opponent, and after that I couldn't do anything. I was able to go to the menu and exit, but I couldn't click anywhere, use any hotkeys or anything.

So... how can I go about officially reporting this? What I was doing was perfectly legit (as far as the game goes), so I would assume this qualifies as a bug.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
/g

Sounds like a bug to me! Which version of the game is this, and which patch level?

Here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46145) is a good description of how to report a bug.

Heh, thanks. I guess I should have looked around some more. In any case, I went back to the save that I had (but don't have anymore) and tried to reproduce the problem. I kept getting moved automatically to the hut, and this time I could see barbarians let loose, but the error did not happen again. Maybe I did something else when this happened. I'm going to try and reproduce it in a game where the seed is not preserved, so that I can make sure it wasn't something I did somehow. Plus, this way I can get a screenshot and keep my saved game.

At any rate, I am playing Conquests, at patch level 1.22.

Thanks again.
