Well, I decided to try my first Monarch game after practicing the other difficulty levels for a while. I will start playing and posting tomorrow morning. Here are the statistics for my game, any help would be appreciated:

Vanilla Civ3 1.29f
Standard size world, Pangea, 60% water, Random (where did I get Sedentary? Typo!) barbarians, 4 billion years old, Temperate climate, 7 civs, Monarch level, I'm Germany, everything is on, my opponents are
France, England, America, India, Russia, Egypt, and Greece

Sorry about the .gif quality, my Paint doesn't save .jpg/.jpeg

Read: I had problems with Civ3 and had to re-install, in the process I lost this game... Topic can be closed.

i would like to no the rest of your story.

It just started.

4000 BC , built Berlin, 70% science
3750 BC , spearman built to protect Berlin
3650 BC , built a road to furs on the left of Berlin
3550 BC , worker left borders, barbarian in foggy part, worker destroyed
3500 BC , settler built, heads north
3400 BC , barbarians destroyed road to fur, approach Berlin
3300 BC , barbarians got killed by my spearman (YAY!) and Leipzig founded
3050 BC , Worker replaced, will build road with furs (and will be protected!)
At this point, there was a largest nations thing. Sadly, I took last. It was in this order from best to worst: Indians, English, Americans, French, Greeks, Egyptians, Germans
2670 BC , Hamburg founded
2510 BC , I meet Fracnce, they are up by 6:mad: techs, most of which starting techs that only take a couple turns to research. They know the Indians and English and weren't willing to trade with me. I protected Hamburg and built a road to furs, I was thinking I could keep building the road. Anyway, any suggestions on how I could get something out of the French, plus some suggestions in general? By the way, if you want a save file, I guess I could post one.

right now my criticism would be to do more exploring, you have to much fog left, especially considering you moved a worker into the fog at a point where there were barbs present i think this might be a liability in your strategy.
