Id like to request a mod that enables you to see a citys reach on the world map, by holding the shift button down or something like that. This would be of great help when you are trying to cram as many cities as possible onto a map, as it tends to get confusing where a city really is and such since there are no visible grid in this game.

I just installed the mod on your system. All you need to do now is hit CTRL-G, and you'll have a visible grid on your world map. ;)

It's actually documented both in the Civilopedia (under "Hotkeys: Game Controls") and in the manual.

But who actually reads that stuff, anyway? ;)

I'm not absolutely certain, but I seriously doubt that this is something that could be modded in. However, now that you know how to bring up the grid, you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out how to best place your cities.
