Stuck_as_a_Mac Apr 29, 2004, 08:03 PM Same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!
Welcome to Term 5 of the MIA. This term we are going to go crazy, Genetically Altered Rodent Style.
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/pabtee_copy.jpg
(In case there is someone out there who does not know who Pinky and the Brain are)
This term, we are going to fill up any blanks on our continent and taking over as much as anywhere else as possible. Those mice wants the rest of the world pink, I tell ya!
Soon to come:
Apointing a deputy
Creating list of "To Keep" Enemy cities
The "Domination Watch" clock
The "Slash and Burn" Guideline
Help is needed on all of these, as I am just one overachiving teen who will be in Florida from May 13th to May 18th (oh. btw. I'll be away)

Chieftess Apr 30, 2004, 08:45 PM MIA - We may be taking out both Greece and Egypt in quick succession. There's an empty spot between the Greco-Egyptian lands that can be settled. Please consider a city there soon.
Bootstoots Apr 30, 2004, 08:59 PM Also, please draw up border proposals for the Greco-Egyptian continent, and maybe include a province covering England and the tundra island while you're at it.
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 01, 2004, 07:57 AM Morning everybody!
Madame CT: Getting on it
Monsieur Boots: See Madame CT comment

Who is loading photoshop as we speak
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 01, 2004, 08:20 AM Poit! Here's the Greek province for you. Province Letter Number G
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/GreekPlan14301.jpg
I basiclly followed the outline of the borders already in place. Audiac would be its capitol and serve as the center of tile improvement.
Also, @CT: Where is the empty space you were refering to
EDIT: Wait. I see it. Between those 2 northern cities. Just plop a settler on the road connecting Egypt and Greece.
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 01, 2004, 09:00 AM Okay. Here is the Egyptian Plan
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/Egypt_Plan.jpg
Division at Thebes. The two cities not part of the Greek province are part of the Upper Kingdom. Also, please note the pink dot in the bottom of the Upper Kingdom. A settler is to go there.
England Plan: Just keep everything as one big province.
We can afford to take all these cities. However, on the other continent, its slash and burn (to be done later)

Who is waiting for CT to yell at him
Furiey May 01, 2004, 10:13 AM These maps from CRPRings might prove useful if we want to keep the cities which will be most productive. Rings are centred around Deux Rivieres.

http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/EgyptRings.jpg
PS: I've just downloaded the latest version of MapStat.
Bootstoots May 01, 2004, 10:40 AM How many tiles are there in each province, SaaM?
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 01, 2004, 03:31 PM Thank you, Madame President. Those charts will come in very helpful when I start the discussion on what cities to keep in Greece, Egypt and England (btw: if you could do an English one, that would be helpful. If you havent noticed, my Photoshop skills leave much to be desired)
And @boots: I went by number of cities in each province (9, with the English one being 10 and having Ice Island). I do not have that number with me right now. Give me some time and I can get it for you if you really need it.
SaaM
Sarevok May 01, 2004, 03:35 PM so far those borders look pretty decent.
Furiey May 01, 2004, 04:11 PM Your wish is my command ;)

Why is it that both of the women around here are both Photoshop junkies and Strat Gurus? :Mumble:stupidsecondexchromosome:mumble:
Your image has confirmed with numbers what we already knew: The English Cities will be hopelessly corrupt. We might want to keep only Oxford and York for exporting Silk. Just build up a harbor and let the silk flow.

Furiey May 03, 2004, 06:54 PM Minister SaaM
Thank you for the compliment, although I would not have put myself at such a level.
I understand that the plan is to keep all the Greek cities and any Egyptian ones taken in this first turnchat. I will try and give you an update of the MapStat info as the trunchat progresses. Although we may not be close to the domination limit yet, the information may prove useful for you to show our progress towards it.
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 04, 2004, 02:45 PM Thank you, madame President.
The plan is, as of now, to keep them. Should we even aproach the 50 mark, feel free to start abandoning small cities.
Once we go for the other continent, then we start choosing what to keep. But as for now, yes. Please keep them.
Chieftess May 04, 2004, 05:25 PM I think we should start abandoning once we hit the 60% mark. 50% is well under the limit. Sounds like a discussion, perhaps?
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 04, 2004, 07:46 PM That it does indeed. But not one to be made up when one is screaming about an AP Test tomorrow.
Gahh!! AP World! RUN!

ravensfire May 06, 2004, 09:11 AM My Lord Minister,
Hopefully, the perilous "AP Test" has been defeated, returning you once again to the, errr, real world(?), ready to again lead Fanatica! Further, I do hope that, with the test complete, waste matter will again be returning to you, as all good politicians need some of that to either throw or use to speak - job requirement, ya know?
But on to other matters. You've probably been following the recent, unpleasant developments with regards to wonders and a woeful lack of discussion. Rather than start a discussion after the instructions are posted and some pointed comments are made, I would like to make a request of the MIA.
Could your office please give the citizens of Fanatica a brief summary of the Wonders currently under construction, by Fanatica and the other nations? Also, could you begin a long-term plan for the construction of all remaining wonders, including determing if a particular wonder is worth the effort.
This would be an excellent discussions for all citizens, and give our leaders a great basis for decisions on national projects.
As always, my thanks!

That I can do (we only have the modern age wonders left, and if we're going for conquest, only two of them are essential). I will type up a starter and I will post it.

Here's the discussion. I don't feel like making up any Sweeny Toddesque lyrics now.

Chieftess May 06, 2004, 08:34 PM Since Rejkavick doesn't have a governor as of yet (a recently conquered city that's in the middle of Egyptian lands), Let the temple finish, and next turn, have it build a wall. On turn 2, rush the wall (or rush it on turn 1. I am willing to forego 2 galleon upgrades next turn for the wall rush).
Furiey May 11, 2004, 11:44 AM Minister SaaM
With regard to the provincial borders - I believe that they have to be approved by Congress (ie: the citizens). So an official discussion/poll would appear to be in order. Then I've just got to find some governors....
tao May 11, 2004, 11:28 PM Minister,
as you are responsible, what is the action on building The Pentagon? Did you ask any governor to put it in the queue? If yes, where? If not, why not?
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 12, 2004, 06:08 PM @tao: yell at the new guy.
Everyone! Cheeta is the new MIA deputy. He will be filling in for me until Tuesday.
Cheeta: things to do.
1) Do a discussion on province borders (maps are in here)
2) Decide where the Pentagon will go. (it doesnt do anything in the city its built in, so it could go somewhere that isnt essential)
SaaM
Cheetah May 13, 2004, 10:08 AM I know I said yes to the job yesterday, but my school ends on saturday and
today I was told I had to remove my computer from the computer lab.
This means I have severly limited access to internet until late sunday.
I will try to do what I can in the job, but if anyone else is better suited
maybe he should take over?
Cheetah May 18, 2004, 12:47 PM Gah. I didn't get to the Internet before I left the school, and had some problems with it at home as well.
I'm afraid I couldn't do much as your deputy SAaM. I'm really sorry. :(

Oy. Hmm... I just got off the bus and I still need to unpack. I'll try to set up everything tomorrow.
TO DO:
Pentagon Discussion
Border Polls
tao May 18, 2004, 04:32 PM TO DO:
Pentagon DiscussionYou may discuss it, but it was already built without waiting for the MIA.
Furiey May 18, 2004, 05:07 PM Welcome back SaaM.
Please note: In absence of instructions, the Pentagon was built in Groton. We are now able to build Battlefield Medicine though which I think also had support in the previous discussion.
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 18, 2004, 05:24 PM Perfectly fine by me. As I stated in my TC instructions, I have yet to look @ the save. Go ahead and put Battlefield Medicine there too. We'll need it.
Would anyone mind if the queue for Groton had Battlefield Medicine added to it? (Yes, this is an official question)
SaaM
Chieftess May 18, 2004, 05:28 PM I'd really love for Groton to be our tank factory... It would be nice if it could build 20 more tanks before continuing armies. (Atleast when tanks aren't in armies, you can use the excess tanks for other things).
Furiey May 18, 2004, 05:41 PM Groton may not be the best place to build it, Deux Rivieres for example only takes 2 turns longer but will lose less tank production time in the process:
Groton: BM in 5 turns = 5 Tanks lost (builds Tank in 1) or 1 Tank + 1 Army
Deux Rivieres: BM in 7 turns = 3.5 tanks lost (builds Tank in 2)
Please add building BM to your instructions if you wish it to be built. I am glad my actions in building the Pentagon were not against your wishes.
PS: According to Mapstat we now have 47.6% of the tiles
Bootstoots May 23, 2004, 10:23 AM Please consider building the Intelligence Agency somewhere. It could help during our wars with Zulu and Persia, particularly in that we will know their exact military strengths by unit for each turn of the war if spy-planting is successful. The Intelligence Agency can be built within six turns in any of a number of cities, and Groton and DR can build it in four turns.

A Decree!
MIA Head SaaM approaches the stage. He is decked in a long black leather coat (with a matching shirt, tie and pants combo) with his hair spiked and wearing a really nice pair of sunglasses. He jumps in the air, freezes, does a 360, lands on the podium (shattering it into hundreds of pieces, as seen in bullet time) and plays the Doom Song while reading N?. It is the feared Johen Vasquez/Matrix SaaM... BUM BUM BUMMMM
Hear Yee, Hear Yee! MIA Doomy Court of Doomful Doom is now in sessions, my little mongeese. The MIA has a new decree for you all. Armagedon is approaching. Are you ready for the end? Packed up on your reed making suplies? Purchasedthe libretos to every musical you like? Prepared yourselves to become doomful masters of the doomridden planet? Good. Now, this doesnt apply to any existing citizens, but every other member of this putrid planet, listen up! We take no more prisoners! All cities are to be raized, unless they have a wonder. No city is to be spared! Muahahahahahahaha! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a special edition DVD to purchase. Computer! Take me to the weasles!
This has been an announcement from MIA Head SaaM. Now if you'll excuse him, here is a room with a moose

I believe the words "don't ask" apply
Chieftess May 24, 2004, 09:16 PM May I suggest that the Intelligence Agency be built in Vandelay or Saction? It will take 7 turns, but we won't need it until then anyway. (We don't want a premature war).

(We don't want a premature war).I provisionally queued it in Vandelay, but I'm willing to unqueue if so ordered. I ordered some mm and it would be finished in 6 turns. :goodjob:
