View Full Version : RoN Expantion is not working

Can anyone help me with this problem. When I select play when the auto-play comes on, the game stays idle in the background as shown in this task manager.

Did you encounter any errors during installation?

Try launching the game by double clicking patriots.exe in the RoN folder.

I encountered no problems nor errors during installation.

When I try to launch the game via patriots.exe. It does the same thing as hitting "play" on the autoplay.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling it? I doubt it will help, but it's something...

Umm, it would be ovious that I have the aproprate graphics card since I can run RoN with no problems.

Maybe you should try contacting bighugegames? If this is a bug, then its obviously a big one...and you better tell them so they can patch it. Maybe try Apolyton.net (http://www.apolyton.net) (another big civ site), it has a bigger section on RoN.

Edit:

Sorry..I just seen you've done the same thing on Apolyton, CivGeneral. The lack of responses might imply your problem is rare. Have you updated all your system drivers? It might help, but don't hold your breath. Try contacting BHG games if you can send them your system info too. Out of interest what are your system specs? We might be able to see a pattern emerge.

It looks like T&P might be the PTW of RoN..:(

After a bit of searching i found this RoN support forum..

Looks like T&P is quite a trouble maker...You might find something that sounds similiar.

I discovered that some spyware programs and malware can effect how T&P can work. Since after reinstalling Windows XP and Downloaded 2 popular Anti-Spyware programs and 1 Spyware scanner and then reinstalling RoN and T&P, the game worked fine after that. I am guessing that a trojan or some sourt of spyware/malware effected T&P.
