Hmm, what stats could it use? Doubles City defence and makes one citizen unhappy in every city?

Think why communists built it. Besides its a must for cold war scenarios.

Stats: Great wonder, requires communism & army, three unhappy in the city, reduces war weariness, doubles defences, creates free Stasi unit in every xx turns, 1 culture etc etc

Oh yeah, you can create unhappy citizens too. Well, that sounds better. ;)

maybe you could use it to render immune to propaganda, or reduce chance with spymissions...just an idea

It could be used to prevent a city from flipping over to another civilization. As a side effect (it must be one!!!) it would cause one or maybe even more citizens unhappy, as mentioned.

Am confused by all this, as I remember it was used to divide 2 seperate idealisms in one city - how can that work in civ??

it could add to production or culture or it could autoproduce an e german UU (stasi operative?).

i'll give it minus hapiness also. kinda like a double-edged sword.

Hello,

at least the Berlin Wall was a symbol not only for the divison of Berlin, but also for the divison of Germany and even Europe. There was a wall not only surrounding the capital Berlin, but also whole Eastern Germany. Normally walls are build to keep the enemies outsides, this was more to keep the people inside - even when propaganga says differently.

Churchill said 12 before the wall was made that a Iron Curtain was dividing Europe. He had tanks in mind, 12 years later the communist decided to add bricks to the iron.

So the wall should make unhappy faces to all the peoples, but on the other hand i should make all the cities immune against cultural overtaking.
So there should be a building : MfS (Ministerium fuer Staatssicherheit, aka Stasi). The Police HQ fits very well, I also have the same bad feelings when I see this graphic, then when I saw the Stasi-HQ for the first time.

This building reduces corruption and makes cities immune against propaganda, but is only available in communism and makes one people unhappy.

Berlin Wall gives MfS to all cities. So Berlin Wall should be very cheap indeed (only be available in communism) and will be enable to build by researching Propaganda (see Rufus Techs).

Certainly I will always remember the 9th of November 1989 when the wall crashed. Without this historical moment, I maybe still would be catched behind the wall. I dont want to imagine this, I just know, that I would not write this text, when it not has happened ;)
