Mr. Will May 28, 2004, 07:23 PM Should be a preview here....
alexrakov May 30, 2004, 02:40 AM cool job man i am use this unit in my scenario .
Goldflash Jun 01, 2004, 08:11 PM :wallbash: They all fire in unison. stagger it!
Corn Shucker Jun 01, 2004, 08:13 PM They do not all fire in unison, but I will agree, they are close, mabey some more time between fires. The far one fires first and the other two follow, but yes, they should stagger a bit more. Other than that, good work once again.

Are you on drugs or just stupid? There is no delay at all. They all move exactly the same.
Sword_Of_Geddon Jun 02, 2004, 05:42 AM Gourami......
Corn Shucker Jun 02, 2004, 11:45 AM Lol. There is a stagger, either your pc is messed or your just not looking. It's not a huge stagger, but its there. also, the longer you make the stagger, the bigger it makes the unit file, and those people w/ slow computers like the small files lol so either way, looks good to me, I'm done here.
killer_J27 Jun 05, 2004, 02:53 PM looks great MR.WILL. :good job:
Mr. Will Jun 05, 2004, 04:57 PM THERE IS A DELAY! In retrospect, it should be a bigger delay, but there is one. Look harder. It's hard to add a good delay and not mess up the file sometimes.
The Great Apple Jun 25, 2004, 03:00 PM The image in the first post doesn't appear to have a delay, but the attack animation certainly does...
Are you sure about they delay-file size link? If you use SBB I'm pretty sure you can do delays without increasing the amount of frames.
Mr. Will Jun 26, 2004, 11:05 AM You can increase the delay size, but it looks strange. For instance, if I overuse loop it makes the unit appear to be in mid-fire when it first attacks. If you overuse wait, the units appear to snap between mid-fire and the beginning attack every time the unit fires. You can add more frames and make it look better, however, I'm lazy and not quite sure how to do it.
frenchman Jun 26, 2004, 12:37 PM Hello Mr Will ,
Your multifigure unit looks very good ! Do you know were I can find the single unit ...? I like it ...
Thank you
Plotinus Jun 27, 2004, 03:07 AM Hey, these guys are a crack unit with top discipline! Of course they move in close formation! Who wants a bunch of sloppy troops in their game?
Mr. Will Jun 28, 2004, 09:51 AM Yeah, that's it.... They're more disciplined......
Thanks
asgard fleet Jul 26, 2004, 11:11 PM That looks great Mr. Will
Mr. Will Jul 27, 2004, 10:44 AM There may be an updated version with nameless53's new attack animation if I get bored enough to do it. Thank you asgard.
Sword_Of_Geddon Aug 23, 2004, 10:37 AM One wonders why M-Unit creators don't get as much praise as normal unit creators...Thanks for making this Will...

Ummm. To be frank, it's a lot easier, and quicker to do...
Sword_Of_Geddon Aug 23, 2004, 08:45 PM Your probably right...but I have no idea at this point...I want to start unit creation myself...is it EXTREMELY difficult?

This is ever so slightly thread-jacking, but, oh well...
I would say that it gets easier. I, for intance, regarded myself as a person with fairly limited artistic talent, but it's gone OK. Once you get the basics it still takes ages to make your first unit, and then you realised it's ugly (I think Wyrmshadow said this in another thread). Then you go on to your second, and the chances are it'll also look ugly. By that point you're probably quite in touch with the basics, and it starts to get easier. It takes quite a bit of time and effort for the first few units, but you should use them to learn the techniques. Then for each subsiquent unit you can try something new, untill you get to the point where you can turn a model into a unit in about 2 hours total.
My advice for you (and other people) would be to try it, and see how it goes. Also don't judge yourself too early, and don't do units you REALLY want first, do something that you can afford to be bad.
I don't usually post in the morning, so apologies if this is a tiny bit incoherant...
Mr. Will Aug 24, 2004, 04:19 PM Well, you seem to get praise for months for M-units, even if it's small amounts.
Thanks.
Mr. Will Aug 24, 2004, 04:20 PM I agree with Apple, I don't think my MPDV is going to see the light of day because it isn't very good. Onward ho, animation skills!
