Is there any software which will do a good job of resizing a batch of images?

Have you tried the Gimp? It probably had an option in there somewhere to do that.

If you are using Windows, Irfanview contains a batch conversion tool (possible to resize a folder of images, etc).

Any others?

Gimp is too big. My HD is full :(

Resize Your Picture (http://download.com.com/3000-2192-10246251.html?tag=lst-0-1) is pretty good. Just highlight all the pictures, right click, click "Resize your Picture" and set the dimentions to resize it to.

Irfanview is also good.
