View Full Version : Deutschland wird verlieren!
Stapel Jun 15, 2004, 01:54 AM After waiting 12 years, today the day has come again.
Will the Orange Machine beat Voeller and his sheep?
Or will Teutonic Efficiency break the fragile cooperation?
Or perhaps a draw....
The NOS (Dutch Broadcast Foundation) and the ZDF (Second German TV) will cooperate and broadcast one pre-match program, presented by Beckenbauer & Cruyff. They will do so in English.
Man, I really am nervous!
col Jun 15, 2004, 02:09 AM :hmm:
Translation? Neat bit of editing.
KaeptnOvi Jun 15, 2004, 03:14 AM It means: "Germany will lose", and I agree :D
Shabbaman Jun 15, 2004, 03:24 AM Nervous Stapel? Just have some Feinherb Edelpils ;)
At least I'm looking forward to that... and to the match obviously!
Adler17 Jun 15, 2004, 03:25 AM Ihr Käseschubser träumt. (You cheese pusher are dreaming). Wir werden siegen! We will be victorious. No chance for van Nistelroy and co. Orange will be marmelade later this day!

Shabbaman Jun 15, 2004, 03:54 AM Wir werden siegen!
Yeah, we've heard Germans claiming that before...
Rik Meleet Jun 15, 2004, 04:03 AM No German can withstand the full force of the orange Lion wearing Football Boots !
Stapel Jun 15, 2004, 04:14 AM My nervosity is changing somewhat to hate&aggression. 9.5 hours to go....
AceChilla Jun 15, 2004, 04:20 AM I don't feel nervous at all anymore, I have full convidence that we will beat those Bradwurst eating Germans :)
Schade Deutschland alles ist vorbei, alles ist vorbei, alles ist vorbei
Rik Meleet Jun 15, 2004, 04:23 AM Be careful Stapel; it is still to early to become Stapel-gek ;)

Not sure who TF would be supporting...
Stapel Jun 15, 2004, 08:42 AM I am of German blood!
I have always honoured the Spanish king!
I hope to die in honour on the field!
Just three lines of the Dutch national anthem
col Jun 15, 2004, 09:34 AM
PM-ed TF for permaban.....
Ok I admit it. I'll be cheering for the Dutch tonight.
Ruud Ruud Ruud.
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 09:54 AM Yeah but I picked Ballack and Jeremies to do well - so its tough on the cloggies but
Jeremies probably won't even play, which might well be to your advantage... ;)
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 10:05 AM Hey Stapel, I hope you remember something about a drink and London. ;)
I have a feeling that I might "win" in that category today... :(
Stapel Jun 15, 2004, 10:18 AM I hope you will win in that category!
Hey Hitro, any idea why we weren't present in Korea/Japan? You can't drive there with car&caravan!
BTW, in Holland, it usually are the Krauts stuffing our highways with Mercs&oversized-caravans.
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 10:19 AM BTW, in Holland, it usually are the Krauts stuffing our highways with Mercs&oversized-caravans.
Which shouldn't matter considering your speed limits... ;)
Stapel Jun 15, 2004, 10:26 AM Which shouldn't matter considering your speed limits... ;)
Caravan limit is 80kph. Other 120kph.
But you have a point: M&OC combis easily do 120 :crazyeye:
Es ficke sich Deutschland!
addiv Jun 15, 2004, 10:28 AM Hmm, I predicted Germany to win, but of course I'll be supporting Holland. I'm always rather irritated though by the irrational Germany-hatred of my countrymen, but perhaps that's my political correctness kicking up a row again... Most of all I hope we'll see some good football!
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 10:31 AM Es evil word removed on moderator request sich Deutschland!
Nice grammatical structure for an insult... :p
Beam Jun 15, 2004, 10:40 AM And will we see the introduction of a new shampoo again? The true succesor of Rijkaard: macht die Haare Völler.
Watch this clip to get the right feel for the match: http://www.punchbaby.com/media/gitfakt/clips/ads/nederland_duitsland.mpg
I surely hope Schweinsteiger will clean his private parts before entering the field.
Rik Meleet Jun 15, 2004, 10:50 AM Holland !!
Garbarsardar.jr Jun 15, 2004, 10:51 AM Given that the worst german team ever went to the 2002 final I wonder what this lot can do...
Adler17 Jun 15, 2004, 11:20 AM We will fight until the last minute against these revolting Germans who themselves call Dutch. No way the Orange Lion will be made to orange marmelade by the German Eagle. As 1974 we will win. As we usually win. We might have not the best players but the best team. That´s much better than a team of the best players but without any team esprit. In a week we´ll sing:
Ohne Holland bleiben wir bei der EM.
But one at last: See it olympical. This time the Dutch were able to qualify at least.
Adler
col Jun 15, 2004, 02:32 PM Wow. I havent seen a Dutch team play that badly since - the Irish game. They are going to have improve a lot in second half to come back against the Germans.
tossi Jun 15, 2004, 02:40 PM I call that safari! muhahhahahahah! Well the beginning of the second half will be deciding. If the netherlands score a goal now, we will loose, if not we will win.
Rhye Jun 15, 2004, 02:42 PM why don't you post in the group D thread?
jack merchant Jun 15, 2004, 03:38 PM We will fight until the last minute against these revolting Germans who themselves call Dutch.
Adler
Why are you calling us Germans ???? German and Dutch history have been quite distinct since 843 AD at least....
Dell19 Jun 15, 2004, 03:41 PM why don't you post in the group D thread?
Because its such an important game?
Adler17 Jun 15, 2004, 04:04 PM Holland was lucky not more. But who has nearly lost the game?
Adler

You'll be regretting that 'nearly' when you meet us later in the tournament :p.
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 04:06 PM In which tournament?
Dell19 Jun 15, 2004, 04:20 PM In which tournament?
The one where you meet again, obviously...
Hitro Jun 15, 2004, 04:26 PM The one where you meet again, obviously...
I'd guess it's the one where we meet later. :undecide:
Stapel Jun 16, 2004, 03:15 AM I'm always rather irritated though by the irrational Germany-hatred of my countrymen, but perhaps that's my political correctness kicking up a row again... Aha, you are the guy that prevented me yesyterday from setting this car with white license plates on fire.
Stapel Jun 16, 2004, 03:16 AM Holland was lucky not more. But who has nearly lost the game?
Adler
Well, the German goal wasn't exactly the result of good football either....
tossi Jun 16, 2004, 05:38 AM who is that devil who shot the orange door? when he entered the game i KNEW that he would do it! Luckily I still have this old voodoo book under my bed...
oh btw: Niederländer sind genmanipuliert - genmanipuliert - genmanipuliert! Niederländer sind genmanipuliert - genmanipuliert - genmanipuliert!
Adler17 Jun 16, 2004, 05:52 AM Why Stapel? A good shot through all lines into the goal. That IS briliance. Nistelrooy on the other hand had only luck. No signs of his ability. I doubt we meet again, but if in the final remember 1974.

Well, first I'd liek to say the Germans deserved a goal at that point, but it was not brilliance. Just a thing that happens every once in a while. It was above all defended stupidly! Frings ball was not brilliant. I can do that too. If I take 10, one might go in (when defenders pay the same attention).
Van Nistelrooy's goal was brilliant! That is something I could never do.
Van Nistelrooy's first ability, is simply being there on the right moment.
His second ability is his ball handling. I thought it was rather special.
Adler17 Jun 16, 2004, 06:26 AM We could discuss about that endlessly. Nevertheless you should chnage your signature :p .
Adler
Dell19 Jun 16, 2004, 11:20 AM Well they haven't lost yet...
Hitro Jun 16, 2004, 12:59 PM But they already failed to beat one nation. One in one, to be precise.
But while I think that Germany was the better team yesterday and should have won Stapel is correct in saying that the German goal was a quite lucky one while van Nistelrooy showed alot of class while scoring his. Few players would have, he didn't hit the ball like that by chance but completely intended.
Still the run-up to the goal was a terrible mistake by Ernst...
phoenix_night Jun 16, 2004, 01:06 PM After watching the game, I'd say the Netherlands look more likely to achieve something in the competition. Germany didn't really impress. Yes, the Netherlands were disapointing, but they were still in control for large parts of the second half. Also, looking at some of their players, surely they can improve...

unfortunately the Germans often give that impression at the beginning of a tournament, they'll probably make the final again
