w00t! [dance]

This is what I've been waiting for! [dance]

Let's hope it is as good as 0.8. :D

Perhaps now would be a good time to update Thunderbird too? :hmm: 0.6 was released some time ago...[dance]

Seems like it's buggier than 0.8. :hmm:

Let's hope the 1.0 one is released soon..

Yeah, it does seem buggier. Not sure if the Java Web thing still works in it.

I predict about a month until 1.0.

0.9 ruined my already shaky faith in Firefox. It disabled and uninstalled all my old extentsions, cleared my favorites, set the toolbars to default, and caused a lot of grief because I had a lot of 0.8 extentions I had didn't work with 0.9 *shakes fist*

Which is exactly why I'm sticking with 0.8 for the moment.

I should have done that...

It did unsuccessfully try to import favorites from IE for me.

Alright, I upgraded. A lot of key extentions and my favorite theme were updated. No worries. :D

I was having loading problems with 0.8, so upgradeing was pretty much manditory. Im enjoying it.

Thunderbird 0.7 was just released!! :D :D

I just got Firefox 0.9, and so far it seems to be running better & more smoothly than 0.8. And all the extensions I use have updated versions, so no problems there.

0.9 is buggy... but it's much faster.

Um. If it's only as good as, then it failed ;)

I'm sticking with 0.8

I can't be bothered with the hassle of using the next unproven pre-release :p

Here's hoping they haven't changed their JavaScript features again!!

0.9 imported all my settings just fine. Although I did make a backup just incase it didn't. ;)

I don't see much difference actually, some features have moved and the looks are a bit different, but everything else seems to be the same. I always expect more difference than they actually have in each new version of anything...

0.9 imported everything from my last version fine.

Same, but I accidentally imported the wrong profile .

0.8 has tendency of freezing up on me.

How to make Firefox 0.9 look like Firefox 0.8:

Enter this into the blank address bar, and hit enter. Click okay. Now, click on "QuteRetro" and click "use theme." It works, and I'm using it.

I'm still using .8, and it's fine for me. I'm using too many extensions that won't work with .9, so I'm not upgrading anytime soon.

I had problems with 0.8 freezing, crashing, or rebooting my laptop. So far, 0.9 is much better. I think there have been some memory issues resolved, and it is definitely more quick/responsive, in both opening, and in loading new pages. I don't use the extensions, so that doesn't matter to me. I can't use the MicroFirebird theme, which made Firefox by far the smallest footprint web browser I've found. Hopefully someone will put in the effort for that theme. If not, Firefox is still the best browser around.

And thanks GOGF, I didn't even know 0.9 was out until I saw it in your signature. Thanks for having a very useful signature!

I have 0.8. How could I save my current 0.8 Settings? I am considering changing to 0.9, since apparently its faster, but I want to save everything just in case.

Thrawn

You don't need to. You get to pick which settings to import, 0.8 is one of them, and it worked fine for me. :)

If you want to be on the safe side and back up settings, you probably could back up some of the settings files, or even the whole folder, but since nobody else has had any problems upgrading...

Your profile for 0.9 isn't even stored in the same place as your one for 0.8.

Very nice browser! I especially like the extensions feature. :)
