Sir Len Taft Jun 26, 2004, 12:40 PM I would be interested.
Just so I get this right, this would use the Sengoku scenario (thereby civilization is quite irrelevant except starting position) or just the Sengoku map with the ordinary civs? I'm up for both though, just wanted some clarification.
Cuivienen Jun 26, 2004, 12:41 PM Sounds like fun, I'll sign up. I would suggest the Mori as our tribe, as they have decent chokepoints and aren't surrounded by enemies at the very beginning. If we're feeling suicidal, we could try the Oda, Imagawa or Miyoshi, but I'm not sure that would be winnable at Monarch. I would prefer the Mori, then the Date, then the Uesugi, then either the Takeda or Hojo.
conehead234 Jun 26, 2004, 02:17 PM This is the Sengoku scenario with the starting locations.
Sir Len Taft Jun 26, 2004, 02:28 PM I thought so, but the wording "civilizations" got me wondering, it's more tribes...not that it matters. I'll sign up.
conehead234 Jun 26, 2004, 02:39 PM Which patch do you want to use, it does not matter to me if it is 1.22 or 1.15
Sir Len Taft Jun 26, 2004, 02:40 PM I only use 1.22 right now, but could install 1.15 if needed. But I still prefer 1.22,
Cuivienen Jun 26, 2004, 03:31 PM I have both installed, so it doesn't really matter to me.
conehead234 Jun 26, 2004, 09:03 PM Once we get 2 more people I with post the save.
conehead234 Jun 28, 2004, 08:10 AM Any one else want to join?
conehead234 Jun 29, 2004, 09:29 AM Ok I decided to generate the start. Lets Discuss what starting moves we should do and what we should build first. Remember this is Demigod Always war and we are going for Conquest. All victory conditions are left on.
conehead234 Jun 29, 2004, 04:44 PM First the SAVE (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/Cone3_turn20.SAV)

12-20- Exploration and worker works.
We have a settler due in one turn. Remember to build our cities no more than 3 tiles away so we can cover them easier. Remember to watch out for barbs.
Cuivienen Jun 29, 2004, 05:09 PM Got it, playing tomorrow. We should focus our expansion eastward, as we have no rivals behind us to the west.
Cuivienen Jun 30, 2004, 09:28 AM 1 -
Settler completes. Start another Settler, due in 10.
2 -
Moving towards eastern red dot. Healed Daimyo leaves capital.

Our Daimyo is forced to retreat by the barbs. It moves into Okayama.

IT -- Mori Motonari promotes to Veteran.
12 -
Hiroshima: Granary --> Settler
Destroy a barb camp.
14 -
Okayama: Worker --> Ashigaru
Pop a hut to get more barbs. Daimyo fortifies.
15 -
Not much, but I think I've played enough. Hiroshima grows next turn, so watch it. Settler finishes in two turns. The orange borders to the south belong to someone, but we don't have contact yet.
conehead234 Jun 30, 2004, 09:40 AM The borders are on another island so we do not have to worry about being attacked by them for a while.
Sir Len Taft Jun 30, 2004, 02:17 PM Got it, will play this evening. Then I leave on vacation so please skip me for the time being...
Sir Len Taft Jun 30, 2004, 05:23 PM 2
Settler finished, sent N, starts another settler.
3
Mets Urakami, trades pottery for Sword-smithing and 10 g. Declares war. Alphabet started.
4
Barb camp disposed.
5
Tokuyama founded.
6
Settler finished, sent S, we need the iron.
8
Ube founded
11
Ashigaru in OKayama.
13
Settler, next started.
14
Ube produces Ashigaru, sent south. Asigaru fortifed next to Ako, attacked, kills one Stone Crossbow and one Ashigaru. How many units can they have in that town? I decide to try to take it as they will get reinforcements soon. Ashigaru killed without doing any damage. Daimyo kept in reserve.
15
Southern Ashigaru kills Barb. There's two barb camps next to the iron source.
We will either have to conquer Ako, or get rid of those barb camps, before we can get Bushi's.
NP, as I said I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so please skip me for the time being.
conehead234 Jun 30, 2004, 05:25 PM Ok. I got it.

conehead234 Jun 30, 2004, 05:58 PM Looking at those screen shots we should go for the iron in the East. Also we need more workers.
