View Full Version : TETurkhan's - Just Maps
TETurkhan Jun 28, 2004, 08:23 AM Many people have requested for some time now a download just for the Test of Time world map but not the mod itself. So, I have posted 3 Earth maps that I have completed for C3C.
Just click below where it says "TETurkhan Maps & Mods - Latest News" (in green).
Please remember, IF you have any questions about the maps but not the mods then please post here in this thread.
thanks!
Mungaf Jul 01, 2004, 04:09 PM Uh, there seem to be two links to the lost world map, instead of one to lost world and one to ToT. Could you fix this problem?
Anyway, your mod is great. Made PTW worth getting.
TETurkhan Jul 02, 2004, 09:51 AM Corrected - Thanks!
gorn Jul 10, 2004, 09:53 AM no volcanoes?
TETurkhan Jul 10, 2004, 09:59 AM There are many in the Lost Word Map however none in the old Test of Time one. The New one will have them however.
TETurkhan Jul 24, 2004, 04:04 PM I will be posting the world map used for Test of Time 2.0 soon - Wednesday.
It is 362 by 362.
OzzyKP Jul 28, 2004, 11:24 AM How about a smaller world map?
I am putting together a Diplogame with a few folks, our first in Civ3, and I want a suitable map. Either Europe or World that can handle 5-7 players. Maybe around 80x80 or 100x100. I've looked through the maps posted here, and none so far have lived up to my exacting standards (sorry guys). Either not realistic enough, or too many resources, or just too damn big.
Your test of time map is excellent. But too damn big for 5-7 civs. I'd love to see a smaller version.
TETurkhan Jul 28, 2004, 06:01 PM OzzyKP,
You can use this map, but use the rules i have applied that limit where cities can be built and how many. Playing on a huge map is quite fun, if there is lets say only 25 locations for cities to be built then it is very much playable no?
that is my approach... my huge map will be posted tonight...

But, then again, it might not be
To you, deadlines are like pie crusts...made to be broken :p
TETurkhan Aug 16, 2004, 03:04 PM Well here is the thing... As I completed the rivers, I got to thinking about LM terrain and how much more depth I could add to the map. So question now is should I post the map as is or should I post it with all the extras (LM terrain etc)?
All weekend I spent working on LM terrain, figuring out how it worked etc... I have already started adding some of the new graphics to the game but it does not stop there. Each terrain will have to have its own attributes which is no simple processis but instead one which requires considerable thought.
If however, I cannot get the graphics done by the end of this week I will just post the map as is then ok? :)

Thanks. Thats a good story :goodjob: So I take it the map is what Earth looks like after the stasis chambers open?
