Can anyone direct me to a site which has information on internet message boards, their use and their development in the past decade?
Also, a couple of weeks ago someone posted a site which outlined a maxim dealing with the invocation of nazis ending any logical discussion on any subject (hoyle's law??). I anyone aware of any other "laws" or "rules" along the same vein?

The law you mean is Godwin's law. There is also a continuation that states that if you bring up the subject with the sole intention of ending the thead, it does not work. This is Quirke's exception.
