About the game:
I haven't decided all of the options...
I would like to play with C3C is, but if the others want PTWm, it's OK.

MaP: Dunno, we'll choose a Europe map.

Difficulty: At least Emperor

Opponents: Hungary' neutreal frineds, enemies and neighbours:
-Hungary
-Austria
-Ottomans
-Germany
-Russia
-Poland
-France
-Byzantines
etc.

Miscellaneus: I will make a Hungarian mod (no mods yet, am I right?) depending form the choosen version.
I dont think about any variants, but we could use them

Pls provide me some info also about how to load a mod. I haven't ever played with a mod. Is it enough to load a save or there are other files to download? If yes, where to put them?

It will be a simple mod with no non-costum units, so it will be only a scenario.

My vote goes definitely for C3C 1.22, however I also could imagine a game in Vanilla 1.29.

I have no idea what an SG is, but this Hungarian-American is interested. I only speak about 5 words of Hungarian, but i'm pure blood. :) I vote for C2C 1.22, and without knowing at all what kind of game we are playing, I vote for a Euro map. :)

My first (and actually one of only 2) Conquest game was TET's Test of Time mod/map. I'm the Hungarians and I've taken over nearly all of continental Europe. heh. Btw, if you are looking for a mod, he's got a unique Hungarian leaderhead. Its not St. Stephan, but its something.

I think a 3.1.2 rider is good. 4.1.2 would be too powerful I reckon.

What traits would Hungary be? TET's mod had Militaristic and Expansionistic, which I didn't think entirely fitting, but I may be too Americanized/ignorant of Hungarian history to suggest good alternatives.

Emporer is ok, but be warned I've not played over Monarch yet. And I've only played 2 Conquests games total, and maybe a dozen vanilla civ3 games. I may be a weak link in the team, but I've got heart. :) Though as I usually bring the hurt on Monarch, its probably time for me to move up a level.

Oh one more thing (darn I'm spamming a lot, maybe I'm just trying to get my post count to something less pathetic :mischief:, but I'm a 'polyer, so I don't stop by here often) BUT I'll be glad to bring the pain to those Turks. My family had a castle south of lake balaton back in the day, and those Turks took it over. So..... yea.

Just leave them in, thus making domination harder. Any thought on the double UUs? What they will be? Civs?

And it is a political question in Hungary, as well (sadly). And trust me, you dont want to hear much about Hungarian politics... It is the best way to have two otherwise normal people to fight over ridiculous things :mad:

I was there on a competition which was cool, paid for the trip :) Still, I wouldnt say I "know" the area :D Well, I am sure Hungary looked completely different in 1987 than in y2k... However, seeing Balaton and Hortobágy is like seeing NY and LA without anything else from the States: just tourist places... ;) Check out some more local flava' next time, hope you dont mind suggesting :)

Hungary was fun though. When I went in 2000, I snuck into the Budapest Zoo, and then snuck backstage (and actually got on the stage itself) at the Budapest national theater, or opera house, or something. Then I did it again with my cousin in tow. :)

Too bad the Cold War is over, I could have made a cool spy.
