Hey Fry

To play a multiplayer game you first need a host to set up a game. Anyone with the game can set one up and the idea is that the host will give out their ip address to whoever might be interested in playing a game with them. So what you need to do is talk to someone who wants to play a game and either set the game up yourself, or have them set it up. From there, all you need to know is the hosts ip, type it into the proper window, and you will get connected with the hosts machine!

Once you do it a few times, you'll be rolling in no time!

You can get your feet wet at Microsoft's(blech phooy) The Zone. Not a place for longterm diplomatic games but good place to get some experience.

The Zone has moved to http://www.games.com
Also Gamespy Arcade http://www.gamespyarcade.com also supports Civ 2 Gold, but not sure how many people play there though.

Just thought you would like to know.
