View Full Version : Units_32 and Game Year? Suka Jul 13, 2004, 03:34 PM How do you put a unit into the Units_32 so you can use it in-game? And how do you set the game year/how fast time advances? LAW_FREAK Jul 13, 2004, 03:45 PM To edit the unit_32 you'll need Gimp or PSP and just copy and paste what you need Suka Jul 13, 2004, 03:50 PM Do you mean paste the flics? And do you have to paste them in a specific order? I need alot of info so I dont mess up Civ3 when I make my scenario. waldoa Jul 13, 2004, 04:12 PM To add a unit 32, you have to open the unit 32 in the units folder of your most recent expansion pack and then past the image for the unit in an empty space. Then in the editor open up Conquest.biq or whatever version you have and add the unit and change the icon to the one you added. kulade Jul 13, 2004, 04:15 PM Zulu made a tutorial on units_32.pcx Game year can be ajusted on the scenario menu, press scenario properties. Suka Jul 13, 2004, 04:23 PM I'm using civ3 vanilla, and apparently you cant edit the game year in Scen. Properties. And where is Zulu's tutorial located? kulade Jul 13, 2004, 04:39 PM Zulu unit tutorial: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=75413 Dont think you can change time in vanilla... Suka Jul 14, 2004, 06:10 AM And one more question: I made a scenario, and a folder for it too. The folder is in the main civ3 folder and has an art/units folder. How do I 'link' the scenario to the folder, and make it use the units in the folder? EDIT: How do you place units and cities in civ3 vanilla? Hunter Noventa Jul 14, 2004, 10:53 AM In the editor under "Scenario Properties" should be a fiel labeled "Scenario Search Folders", just put whatever folder has all your stuff in that field and make sure it's in the same folder as the scenario. Oh, and witht he unit_32, if you're worried about messing it up, make a copy and name it something like units_32bak.pcx Suka Jul 14, 2004, 11:31 AM Nope, didnt work. Im using civ3 vanilla, thanks for trying tho. Do you know how to place units in civ3 vanilla edit? |
