The background is always the last advisor screen i clicked on, anyone have any help how to fix this? After this my mod is practically ready to go after some more play testing.

ozza000 Jul 14, 2004, 12:37 PM or does anyone just know how to fix anyway? (sorry to double post)
Colonel Kraken Jul 14, 2004, 02:05 PM It may be possible that you mislabled your tech advisor screens. That's the only thing I can think of.
ozza000 Jul 14, 2004, 02:27 PM ok thanks how would i fix that then?
Cheers for the help.
WildWeazel Jul 14, 2004, 07:48 PM So you mean when you click on the Science tab the background stays the same? What happens when you hit F6?
unscratchedfoot Jul 14, 2004, 09:10 PM Can you post a screenshot? Its hard to understand the problem.
ozza000 Jul 15, 2004, 11:26 AM Here are some screenies to show you what its like so its easier to help me. Attached are two screenshots. 1.f6 wt happens 2. After I first enter the domestic advisor then into the tech screen.
Thanks Ozza.
LAW_FREAK Jul 15, 2004, 11:35 AM I have the same problem. I made my own science advisor screen and it does the same thing.
LAW_FREAK Jul 15, 2004, 11:40 AM I wonder if it has to do with the palette or how large(memory) the background is because one of my backgrounds works fine, the other doesn't
Dom Pedro II Jul 15, 2004, 11:44 AM Is it 256 color?
LAW_FREAK Jul 15, 2004, 12:02 PM It works! it wasn't in 256 colors, that was the problem
ozza000 Jul 15, 2004, 12:09 PM where do you put it into 256 colours then?
Dom Pedro II Jul 15, 2004, 12:22 PM Use the program you used to change the image. There should be an option somewhere (depends on what program you use as to where it is) that allows you to change it to "indexed color". Then save it again when you've changed it, and it should work.
ozza000 Jul 15, 2004, 01:36 PM im using jasc paint shop pro 8
ozza000 Jul 15, 2004, 01:57 PM where is the "indexed colour" button, I can't find it
LAW_FREAK Jul 15, 2004, 02:31 PM It should be under image. If not use IrfanView to change it.
LAW_FREAK Jul 15, 2004, 02:44 PM Download IrfanView here http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html If you need it
ozza000 Jul 15, 2004, 03:34 PM irfanview does not work so ill just find out what to do on paint shop pro
Dease Jul 15, 2004, 05:08 PM go to decrease colour depth
