Just created the first mod pack, saved it as a .bic file and loaded it as a scenario, then started and promptly noticed that the whole science screen was $%&#-ed. I had weird grey lines going everywhere (not really from one box of tech to others, just haphhazourd lines) and I could NOT choose which tech to develop!!

has this happened to anyone?!?!

This has been discussed in many other threads. However, if you haven't already found the answer, here it is:

When you load the .bic file as a scenario, the tech tree is screwed BUT if you replace the civ3mod.bic file (back it up first!) with your created .bic file and choose New Game instead of Load Scenario, everything should work fine.
