View Full Version : Turn 63 - 1450 BC
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:32 PM We attacked the savage tribes with the first daylight. Many of my men fell in the initial attack, as the Saxon had built strong defenses in the hills. But our superiour training and weapons proved succesfull in the end. We broke through their lines and captured half of the barbarian people before we withdrew. They have been put in chains and are sent to work on the land near Cheetahpolis.
- The officer in charge of our first raid against the Saxons.
Yup, we have our first enslaved worker. :)
He's sent to Cheetahpolis, but can be diverted to TF without delay.
This turns scoretable shows that we have 186 points, and C3B have 183.
I sent the Warrior from Fanatazuma to TF, but he will not arrive before next turn. The new citizen there is unhappy, and I changed him to a scientist instead of increasing the luxury slider. Next turn he will be sent back to work and the Palace will be completed in 37 turns.
It only costed 53 Gold to complete the embassy with C3B this turn. Shall we talk to them about it?
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:34 PM We now have only 3% of world area, while C3B have 4%. We have 16% of world population, and C3B have 19%.
Still, we are 2nd in land area according to the Demographics.
And we're 3rd in production, even though Fanatazuma lost two population this turn.
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:39 PM Near the Saxon camp you can see their Galley.
Outside Cheetahpolis our new enslaved Worker is standing.
I've sent the new Settler from Fanatazuma to the landbridge. This might not be the best city location for growth and production, but it's a strategicaly important city location, and I feel we need to expand that way too.
Fanatazumas Warrior is heading for TF, while another Warrior is coming up from Ryttylä and Fanatazuma is building a new Warrior. This is to better the MP situation.
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:43 PM The east:
The Warrior guarding the landbridge is heading home, while the Warrior on the 3 hills are heading for the choke. The JT will take over patroling of the area.
The northernmost Warrior is just exploring the shroud. When can we start sending him north you think?
The Settler will arrive at the choke in 6 turns.
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:45 PM Shall we send our western Curragh west of the island to look for foreigners, or shall it continue up the western coast or maybe stay to be upgraded to Galley later?
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:49 PM Cheetahpolis:
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:51 PM Fanatazuma:
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:52 PM And Ryttylä:
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:52 PM Thunder Falls:
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 05:53 PM And finaly Zoi. Report complete.
akots Jul 17, 2004, 10:13 PM It all looks good. :)
Just a few micromanagement comments:
1) IMO, it would be better to increase the luxury rate to speed up SoZ build. But really, I'm not sure.
2) Cheetahpolis has to work the flood plains to increase the rate of population growth since an extra shield produced by working plains is wasted to corruption.
3) Next turn Zoi can work the forest instead of one cow gaining extra shield and still growing in 1 turn.
4) Rytty better grow for a while before starting to build the settler. We need another MP btw. However, this is questionable. On the other hand, mining another BG near Rytty makes little sense otherwise.
5) Please make sure to settle on the choke and not somewhere before the choke because otherwise corruption in TF would be increased and SoZ delayed further.
I would suggest renaming our glorious JT as "Saxon Skullcrushers" or "Saxon Spinebreakers" to honor their great fighting skill.
Cheetah Jul 17, 2004, 10:45 PM 1) If we don't look at the two food lost this turn, increasing the lux slider would cost us 5 Gold, while the scientist cost us a single shield and gave us a turn less to research Map Making. At least as far as I know.
2) Noted. A glip from me. Should have seen that.
3) Noted.
4) A few MPs sounds ok. I guess Fanatazuma can make a Settler in the meantime.
5) Of course.
6) Sounds a lot better than Ankka Thrower! ;)
Ankka Jul 18, 2004, 12:30 AM Looks good so far.
Is the Saxon Skullcrusher - Ankka Thrower guy veteran or regular?
Matrix Jul 18, 2004, 05:28 AM It only costed 53 Gold to complete the embassy with C3B this turn. Shall we talk to them about it?
I completely forgot to mention it! :wallbash: That's because I had to leave early. :(
I suggest to mention it in a letter; doesn't have to be more than one or two lines, giving them only the opportunity to say "ok" or something, and otherwise telling them they shouldn't nag.
Rik Meleet Jul 18, 2004, 11:10 AM I prefer Javs from Fantazuma. Stronger and can enslave.
Yes to embassy (after requeting it formally).
