What is the election schedule for term 1?

Make sure that when running elections in a few days, the poll is private vote. The citizens should be allowed to cast their vote freely without fear of reprisal.

Noms start: 23rd (or, 8 days before the end of the month)
Elections start: 27th (or, 4 days before the end of the month)

Isn't that the default option? Makes mistakes on that harder. :)

Annka, there was talk of making the elections public vote, but there was nothing finalized. I just to make perfectly clear that my objection to public vote is duly noted in this Election thread.

Also, do we have an Election Staff, or will the control of elections be retaken by the moderators?

Provolution

We need an election staff, as both judges candidates, moderators and constitution writers are candidates in this election.

I'll volunteer my services if necessary - if you let me know what I need to do. I am running for Science advisor but at the moment with 1 vote (my own) I'm not looking to be a very strong candidate.

My timezone's a bit different to everyone else's though

i would really like to nominate myself for minister of culture, i know it's a bit high, and i am a newly registered user, but i am keen on culture, i think i deserve a chance, everyone has to prove them sooner or later, right?

This is a point of order, Madame Vice-President, is it constitutionally legal for you to hold two offices, that of Vice-President and Deputy of Culture? While the office of Deputy is not expressly named in Article H, it could be considered to be implied.

What happens if, for some reason, the Culture Minister cannot perform their functions?

Could this please be clarified? Thanks.

Comnenus, you should request a Judicial review of this matter in the Judiciary thread. :)

Yeah, as I looked through the old nomination's time stamps. They were dated on the 22nd of july.

I'm distressed to see inaccurate summaries of office duties and responsibilities for the current term. Would the election office please review the current demogame ruleset and the described duties and remove all references to past demogames from them?

These summaries should be accurate statements, not continued pining for days of yesteryear and things that just aren't there.

What are the official date and time that any nominations must be accepted?

When do the elections run?

I was looking through various documents and I could find no official references for either of these.

Thanks

I believe you must accept nominations before elections go up.

Elections run from 26-28 I think. And nominations from 23-25. CT knows...you could also look in the main demogame forum and look at past elections/nominations.
