This is for posting screenshots of the ingame progress. When a screenshot is posted, post a description of the picture. Remember to use the "DG5_BC/AD(year)_(description)" notation when naming the files. (Files are now in the uploads8 folder).

I had to do it quickly in Paint, as I was in vacation, and it was late at night.

I finally stop being lazy for long enough to make my map and fulfil my mandate. ;)

EDIT: Looking back, I think that the Zarnia Overlay makes the Japanatica shading look bad and not the right shade of red, and ruins it. Should I take it out?

This is a new one, taking into effect most of the citizens' wants. I think it's much better. But it's still up for comments and improvements.

When saving a jpg use 'save as' to a different file size and try to see of there are is an 'options' choice. If there is the lower the compression setting to 85% and see how much smaller the file is. At 85% the size should drop dramatically but it should look just about the same on a monitor.

To MOTH & Chieftess: thanks for the help. I did upload the big versions though. :mischief:

To other people: any requests ? :crazyeye:

But the screenshots higher up the thread are bigger than the ones I'm trying to upload...

Here's what you do:

1 - Save it as a jpg.
2 - Click on options (if you're using paint shop pro or photoshop) and select "compression". Set it to about 15%.
3 - Make sure you're using the File Upload and not the File Attachment.

The newly acquired Iroquois Provinces !

Map in Full Detail (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/Iroquois_Provinces_-_full_detail.jpg)

Edit: for posterity's sake, this is the situation in 1180 AD.

It's 1220 AD, and the once mighty Iroquois nation has been reduced to just 4 cities. :hammer:

Here's a full map. (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/Iroquois_Provinces_2_-_full_detail.jpg)

You can see a smaller version of the map at the bottom of this post.

Maybe I should start pushing for peace so I don't have to update this map after each TC... :mischief:

Edit: after a quick check, the other parts of the world do not seem to have changed a whole lot. Only cities growing or shrinking a bit. (I trust that our ministry of trade keeps trading maps so we can always be up to date.)

Good work uXs. Perhaps it will be better if you use the file upload system for the maps.

Really ? I'm using the upload system for the large ones because they are just way too big for attachments, but the upload page itself suggests using attachments for smaller files.

Despite giving the Russians Coal City, they attacked our Settler group in the North. Our Musket valiantly defended and is now Elite.

I hope this isn't intruding, but how did you get such huge pics???

It's done by creating a large image (i.e., 3000x3000 pixels), hitting printscreen to copy an image, and then pasting it into the large image. Simple cut and paste (and moving the image).

Wait... Are you saying there's a way to zoom farther back than pressing Z. How? Or were you saying that you make it out of tons of small pics.

P.S.I already know how to make an image out of the gameplay.

Lots of small images I'm afraid, zooming the map or running your monitor at a higher resolution (eg: 1280x1024 rather than 1024x768) both help to get more in each screenshot, but if you want more than that it's a question of piecing them all together in a graphics program.

Hammurabi agreed to a Military Alliance with Russia against France and declared War! Their troops are now marching across our territory, Joan's from the North and Hammi's from the South. Our Mutual Protection Pact with the French expires in 2 turns.

Yeah, basically you press DEL (that's important), take a screenshot and paste it. Then you take another screenshot and align it as if it were one big screenshot, like a puzzle or something.
