Suh a hard decision... Chieftess or DaveShack? Abstain is looking pretty inviting right now. Well, a question to the candidates:

What time to you plan on having your Turnchats if you have them?

When do you plan on having turn chats? What time I mean?

Chieftess
Jul 26, 2004, 08:26 PM
Most likely around 7:00pm EDT, and on a Wednesday night/Sunday Afternoon basis after the first several turnchats (being that they're going to be quick chats).

experience pays, Dave your the man

I would tentatively schedule Turnchats: 2200-0100 MST/PDT Tuesday nights (0500-0800 GMT Wed. morning) and 0800-1000 MST/PDT Sunday morning (1500-1700 GMT Sunday afternoon). This is subject to occasional change and interruptions because I'm married with 2 kids. ;)

If these times are bad for too many people, It is also quite possible that I might schedule a chat or two at times which are more convenient for a large number of people and plan for someone in the CoC to play if I'm unable to make it.

DaveShack has been a consistent contributor since the beginning of DG3, when he was known for a short time as d8575. Now for the first time in his DemoGame "career", this candidate finds himself able to campaign for the Presidency. I can think of no better way to reward him for his past service that to help hand him the reins of our fledgling nation.

Dave has promised the people that they will have a voice during his tenure, and I believe him. After all, he has already proven himself to possess the nuance, creativity and lack of bias that is the stuff of all born leaders.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please support DaveShack!!

BTW, is it fair for Chieftan to be able to see which users voted for who?

I believe that the mods can only do this on request to Thunderfall, so I don't think you need to worry about any fear of reprisal from Chieftess. :mischief:

Not sure with vB 3.0, but I know I couldn't access voting records when I was a mod. :)

Hey! But yes, I gave it all away to enjoy the thrill of squeaky wheeldom again. :D

Probably shouldn't have mentioned the mod factor just yet; they don't seem to be faring too well this time out. ;)

Don't discount me as a factor yet! I've pulled in from behind in my share of elections! Just you wait! :p

All kidding aside, I do know when I am beat. I wholeheartedly throw my support behind Candidate DaveShack, encourage those very few who are considering supporting me to vote for him instead.

Ermm, By converting the times that Dave has listed (Since I have relatives in Arizona), The majority of Dave's times slips into the twighlight hours on the eastern coast. I know that the majority of Arizona does not follow the Daylight Savings Time rule (Though some do follow the Daylight Savings time in the northern mountanous area of Arizona).

I have done some conversions from Arizona time (I assume Dave is living in Phoenix, AZ)

2200-0100 AZT* Tuesday (0100-0400 EDT, 0500-0800 GMT Wednsday)
0800-1000 AZT* Sunday (1100-1300 EDT, 1500-1700 GMT Sunday)

*stands for Arizona Time, a time zone I personaly call since the state of Arizona shares PST on Daylight Savings time seasons and uses MST on non-daylight savings time seasons.

Times were converted by: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc

Hey Globo

Take it easy, I know you live in a dangerous country. Belgium, high ranking on the Transparency International ranking list of corrupt countries in Western Europe.
Writers talk about the black belt of Wallonia, so I know there are problems.
This is Japanatica, and there is now reason to be suspicious at 4000 BC.

65 votes!!! I think this may be the record, folks! (if someone wants to check the archves - should be somewhere in DG2).
