shadowdude Jul 28, 2004, 09:07 AM C&C Generals looks cool...
CivCube Jul 28, 2004, 09:08 AM I'd go with the Baldur's Gate series. There's a 3D Roller Coaster Tycoon coming out soon, anyway.
Dell19 Jul 28, 2004, 09:11 AM Rome Total War...
BCLG100 Jul 28, 2004, 09:23 AM yup ditto what dell said. or if you want to get the cheaper versions get Shogun and Medieval total war.
Dell19 Jul 28, 2004, 11:40 AM Rome Total War has now been ordered, should be arriving around September the 18th.
regen2ndx Jul 28, 2004, 06:46 PM Stronghold: Crusader, it have 50+ mission to beat. Some of them is very fun.
-0blivion- Jul 28, 2004, 06:49 PM Icewind Dale 2...
Dr. Yoshi Jul 28, 2004, 08:48 PM Wait for Battle for Middle Earth. That uses the same engine as C&C: Generals. Command & Conquer: Generals is way too short on its own so if you're going to get it get the expansion pack as well.
Thrawn Jul 28, 2004, 09:19 PM All the Baldurs Gate games. Buy them. Play them. Love them. :D They are just the best games ever. I haven't played the 1st, but I'll assume it's as good as the 2nd, which I have. You'll play them for longer than the others too.
Highgeneral Jul 29, 2004, 12:53 AM Huh!!
Wait till september and get the Sims2!!
Dell19 Jul 29, 2004, 07:35 AM I'll be waiting for a review of Sims2 before even considering buying it as it needs to actually have some completely new ideas rather than just better graphics and some expansion pack features...
Xi 12 Jul 29, 2004, 07:21 PM Do you have Morrowind, it is one of the best RPGs out there.
Amenhotep7 Jul 29, 2004, 09:07 PM Rome: Total War. I plan on preordering it.:D
Lord Draegon Jul 29, 2004, 11:15 PM I dont really want Sims 2 right now.
How could I forget Morrowind. Im probobl going to gt that. or baldurs gate.
Emp.Napoleon Jul 30, 2004, 12:26 AM Victoria, Warcraft III, Sims II
Lord Draegon Jul 30, 2004, 01:59 PM i have Warcraft 3.
MikeH Jul 30, 2004, 03:24 PM If you're interested in the Heroes of Might and Magic games, I'd say go for HoMM III it was the best of the series IMO (some people prefer II though). I and II you might have difficulty running on a modern PC and HoMM IV, whilst not a bad game was rushed out just before the publishers went broke and has a few problems as a result, for example sometimes the AI just sits there doing nothing until you attack it and win easily, which is a shame as it had the potential to be very good.
Of recent stuff I love Thief: Deadly Shadows, but it might not be your cup of tea if you only like strategy games. It's an FPS where you have to be good at being sneaky rather than just kiiling things. It's also where I stole my .sig from :) .
Lord Draegon Jul 30, 2004, 11:03 PM I like all genres but mostly Strategy and rpg's. Ive seen Theif: Deadly shadows. It's not really a shooter is it? It looks interesting i might hve a llok.
MikeH Jul 31, 2004, 04:55 PM No it's not really a shooter, in fact on the highest difficulty level you lose if you kill anyone (sneaking up behind them and coshing them is OK though) and getting involved in face to face fights is a good way of getting killed or arrested, your character is not very strong, but he's very good at moving silently, hiding and running. I don't play on the highest difficulty, but I try to avoid killng humans, after all I'm supposed to be a thief, not a murderer :) .
Perfection Jul 31, 2004, 09:24 PM Go buy Sim City 2000
citizen001 Aug 01, 2004, 06:08 AM get Far Cry. graphics are the best.
CivCube Aug 01, 2004, 07:14 AM get Far Cry. graphics are the best.
No-oooo, my friend. That honor belongs to Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. Believe me when I say that its water effects beat even Far Cry.
Thrawn Aug 01, 2004, 09:11 AM And graphics shouldn't determine whether or not you by a game either. ;)
Lord Draegon Aug 01, 2004, 12:22 PM Alredy have Sim City 2000, 3000, and 4. I dont care that much about graphics as long a its a good game.
