Ok, i'm not sure whether this is a bug or not but i can't play without knowing more about how to play. I have the Double game pack containing Civ 3 and Civ 3 PTW, i have installed them both and restarted. When i come to play the tutorial from the main menu of Civ 3 PTW i get up to about the 5th dialogue explaining something about the civilians and a line going to a bunch of portraits. Then after that nothing, it just dumps me into the game without a clue on what to do.

Also i can't play the original Civilization 3 because it says that i have the wrong disk inserted even though i haven't.

I could read the manual but its ondisk in a PDF format and i can't read a huge document (onscreen) without feeling slightly queezy.

You could start with the War Academy (www.civfanatics.com/civ3academy.shtml). I would start with Arathorn's Civs Easiest to Hardest and BillChin's Four Basic Starting Strategys.
