Hello,

I have read through the forum about this problem and tried the solutions suggested but with no luck.

Basically the game never asks me for new build orders when a city builds a unit or improvement. It's impossible to play a game at the moment as you soon lose track of whats going on! :(

If anyone knows how to fix it, i'd appreciate it!

In the main menu, choose 'Preferences'. There is a check box for "Ask for build orders after unit construction". The default is off, so turn that on.

There is also one under 'units' for "always build previously built unit". The default for that is also 'off'.

That should sort it. :)

Also, in Multiplayer, select in preferences "Display extra messages during Multiplayer".

I have tried both of your suggestions already ainwood with no luck. I will try MSTK's idea and report back...

Try and see if its under the governer settings. I don't think it is (it isn't in single player), but its worth a check. :)

I think it was hardcoded that MP games didn't have as many popups, since that was the cause of some OOS (Out Of Synch) messages. (i.e., a player would be doing their queues while another was attacking, and lag behind a bit).

It's in the top-left, but "show fewer MP popups" is deselected. Like I said, I believe Firaxis turned off the build queue popups to prevent OOSs.

Ack! Sorry. I wasn't quoting it correctly. I was doing it from memory. It is "SHow fewer multiplayer pop-ups"
