Now that absolutely EVERYTHING is foreign, and nothing is known, we must admit it is very fun to be in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Japanatica has no domestic province, no military to speak of, no culture, no scinece but ceremonial burial and the wheel, in short most of the world is indeed foreign. That brilliant opportunity has enabled us to let the public bring forth a telepathic Samurai Caste.

Kangaeru no Samurai, leaders of prophecies. Imagine the glory of the Prophet that can predict the following without knowing anything. The person that comes the closest, we will make a Japanatican statereligion out of as soon as we reach Monotheism.

As this is Demogame Five, the magical number of our State Religion will be based on 5 quests of educated guesses, prophecies, soothsayings and what have you.

1. Which 5 Civilizations will we NEVER meet?
2. What will be Japanaticas Five next technologies, goodie huts and trades included?
3. What will be the unit types of the first five Japanatican armies to fall in battle?
4. What will be the first five luxuries to be connected Japanatica?
5. What will be the production time of our first wonder in Japanatica, in turns?

There will be separate rewards for each question, but a big reward for the total.

The citizen coming closest to these five prophecies will be named the state religion from polytheism and until monotheism. However, new citizens may challenge the existing state religion with their own, based three prophecy questions poised
the following three persons in the beginning of the Fidelity Term (State Religion Term) and answered in the end of the Fidelity Term. This will be overseen by

Provolution. ceremonial master
The Incumbent State Religion Citizen
The Culture Minister of any Term

Fidelity Terms will last

Until Polytheism- We worship our first leader and Creator, Dave
Polytheism-Monotheism
Monotheism-Communism
Communism-Computer
Computer-End of Game

I hope this will generate more Citizen interest in the simulation, as everyone is equal in this race, not based on political and writing skills, but stocastics, fate and faith.

Yours truly
Provolution

Honorable Foreign Minister Provolution and Deputy Bootstoots, Assistant Blackheart

I am about to launch the Ringi Reform of Japanatica, and the first target is the city localization and development. As Foreign Ministry, you are interested in developing diplomacy options such as trade roads and border fortresses, as well as border culture, and in perspective wonders that promote diplomacy.

Please investigate the City Proposal Thread and assess the printed map, marcation of future city borders, the tile production by shield, gold food and gold. Shield is the most critical aspect for your Departments needs, and gold , as you would need to have a reserve for trades, bribes and concessions one day.

So whenever a proposed city comes into the view on that thread, grade it from 0-5 based on how good the city location is. Also grade the city for its future border to another CIV, as well as trade roads to other Civs and so on.
When complete, write 3-5 lines on the point selection, and submit it with the Domestic Affairs Ministry. If the City alternative is approved and selected for polling, you are free to, but not obliged, to write in the city proposal thread in order to influence the outcome. I have posted similar posts in the other Departments.

More scouting would need to be done before I can suggest any fortresses.

(Don't you mean deputy Bootstoots and assistant Blackheart? Because you just talked to yourself there  )

I wish for the FAs Ministry to partisipate in this discussion :) (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=96505).

Also, While I am here, I would like to report the Babylonian's Stance to us.
The Babylonians are annoyed with us (Via the FAs screen in Civ3)

Every civ always starts annoyed with us when we first meet them. We gotta wait a turn or set up an embassy.

not nessecarily, it matters their favored/shunned government, the government we are in, and if we are in the same 'region' as them

Already voted. In the future can we get a thread specifically made for telling government officials to vote instead of posting in every individual thread?

I agree with Blackheart, government threads should not become campaign commercials, but forums for developing policies.

I would have to agree to that. It becomes a pain in the rear when I have to copy and paste the message in every government thread. Some times I forget to double check and accidently have a "Ministry of War" in with the message for the Culture Department. Hense why the Senate thread in the past demogames were conveniant to me since I can just send a global message and request to all of the govenors.

Minister Provolution,

Seems as though trouble may be brewing in our capital. Please join the following discussion for your briefing.

Thank you

Babylonians
Peace Treaty
Polite
Technologically inferior (to us)
Same size military
Unimpressed by our culture
18 gold
2 cities: Ur, Ninevah
No resources/luxuries, may be able to get wine

I really don't consider Babylon a threat at the moment. They are far from us and have lower tech. If they should ever decide to attack we have Epolener as a good stronghold to fend off their attacks as well as the entire Gem Mountain Range. It also looks like they are south enough to have tundra in their cities.

Romans
Peace Treaty
Annoyed
Scientific equal (we lead by 2 techs), they have Iron Working
Same size military
Unimpressed by our culture
34 gold
2 cities: Veii, Antium
No resources/luxuries, may be able to get wine, iron, horses

The Romans have the potential to become quite the thorn. It would appear they have a good starting location and ample of room to expand and get the early resources.

Iroquois
Peace Treaty
Polite
Scientific equal
Same size military
Unimpressed by our culture
11 gold
3 cities: Niagara Falls, Grand River, Alleghany
Has horse, will get iron and fur, possible wines

Not really a big threat to us. They're on the other end of the continent and the Romans and Babylonians will probably end up bordering them, not us.

Zulu
Peace Treaty
Polite
Scientific equal, most tech advanced of our neighbors
Same size military
Unimpressed by our culture
10 gold
3 cities: Ulundi, Bapedi, Hlobane
Will get horse and iron

It looks like the Zulu have expanded in a vertical line. They may pose a threat to us, but not at the moment. If we can successfully block their expansion westward, they will pose little threat.

***Please note that all of these civs only have contact with us, and not with each other. Also that the cities listed are the ones listed in the trade screen.

Blackheart, we may consider you to be an excellent governor candidate on the Northern Frontier, a sort of military governor would fit you perfectly. :) WE may even arrange a Blackheart retirement fund taken from the tax in this province.

Heh, maybe if I win term 2 FA Minister I can push for more focus on the northern frontiers.

How about instead of a retirement fund I get a statue instead? :D
