I'm having a minor problem with my Civ3 Conquests game. Whats happening is, alot of the text in-game has something which looks like a purple outline or purple shadow :confused: I've tried scouring the preferences for Font Smoothing, but i couldnt find it in Conquests, PTW, OR regular Civ 3 :confused:
I've recently re-installed Civ, and havn't added the patch to it yet, so its on the earliest it could be (1.00). My Comp specs are...

AMD Athlon 2600+
640 MB RAM
1.91 GHz
Windows XP
Nvidia GeForce 4 MX (inc. latest drivers)

I'm not used to giving info out, so if anything else is needed, then i'll try and provide :D Any help on getting rid of these wretched purple irregularities would be most appreciated :D

Did you used to get this problem with conquests? Does Civ3 have this problem as well?

If you have resintalled Civ3, then perhaps you should patch it. Patches are available here (http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3patches.shtml). I do recalll that there were some mods made to the civ3 fonts etc (certainly for colorblind users). Have you turned-off the preferences for colorblind users (I think there is such a thing :hmm: )

No, Patch's didnt work The attatched image is my culture screen which appears to be the worst but i get it on the negotiating screen, and the shadows on other people's text when playing Online. I'm pretty sure all the writing in my shot is meant to be black. (The majority anyway)
