I go onto internet matchmaking to play C3C online, which is probebly one of the best reasons i bought it, and found a game with green ping, a few players e.t.c. Bought when the game came on, there was a satanized 5-8 second lag! I tried it on LAN with my mate, and that was the same, if not worse! I've read a post about this, i was just wondering if anybody has a fix for this?
My specs are...

AMD Athlon 2600+
640 MB RAM
1.91 GHz
GeForce 4 MX
576 kbps Broadband

If there is no patch for this, I just wanna know, how far has anybody actually got with a new game online? If anybody makes it into AD from 4000 BC, they must have 50 MBPS connection  (They'd NEED it anyway!)

It's not your specs, it's usually the programs you have running in the background. CLose all applications, and remember to turn off Autosave.

In my opinion it would lag with a 9999MBPS LAN connection.
I'm on broadband as well, and the lag is very present even with only 2 players (you get used to it, but it's still a pain).

It gets ridiculous with more players, and pretty ugly if you play with people you don't know (for some reasons there's always at least 1 intense lagger that claims having a cable connection (which is probably true  ))

Makes sense, it was the same in the game i remember.
The only progs i have runnin in the background r the regular files the windows needs to keep itself on its feet. (Or as close to its feet as it can get) I dont think i had MSN or anything runnin either, but if i did, i wasnt signed in i dont think. I'll try it again sumtime, i'll need to get the patch
