I know the chances of this are slim to null, But I’d like to see imperialism added to the techs. If one civ was advanced as compared to another they could attempt to “enslave” them and plunder their resources and wealth. After a while unrest would settle in and would need an occupational force.

I'm feeling evil today

I perscribe 2 hours of warmongering civ play.

Interesting concept. I would need to see some more details before I decide if I like or dislike the idea. For example, how much more advanced does one civ have to be? Does the advanced civ have to "invade" the backwards one?? If so, don't we already do that???

Can't say I love the idea, but I kind of like it. I think once one civilization has industriation (or colonial like conqistadors) techs and the other is still in early Ancient techs that would apply. A little like the Spanish and Amreican Empires in 1500s. After all this is a huge chunk of our history.
One more idea: Can't we have an option of occupying a city? Rather than taking it just occupying it? City still belongs to the other nation, but you can control it like your own. After the end of the war your forces withdraw? That would be somewhat historially accurate, esp. for later (industrial) wars.

Ok I think you’d have to be up at least 3 techs, and no you would not have to invade with an armed force but you would have to occupy a tile with a great leader.(I’m still working it out myself) The leader make an attempt at becoming the Civ’s new “Govenor” is successful all resource and gold would become those of the master Civ for twenty turns before unrest would settle in.
