When starting diplomatie is there a way to know what the other human players have got? When i want to trade tech (in the later ages) that nobody has yet the other players could only give me 100 gold because that is all they have. They could be just lying and not give me the extra 500 gold they got and how do you know what tech they have and you haven't got. How do you go about it? In my opinion it should be just like when trading with the comp. Thanks

It is how it work. But, you too can lie so its fair.

well if you are the one with the tech and youve offered it to them you can hardly lie about having it. Just say no if they dont offer enough - or get an ally to go down a different path and swap.
It is more realistic this way imho.
Prob with online games tho is finding the time to do it.
