No this isn't a dejavu. These are three more of them ;)

En detail a Russian, a Chinese, and an African (Senegalese in French colonial service to be more specific). Steph should know when exactly they werw in use.

This time they also have a bayonet attack. In the ini it is the second attack anim, while the first and the third is the one where the rifle is fired.

Edit: please use the AttackA anim attached as a zip file in this post for the Senegalese rifleman, it fixes the color problem of the original file.

Next time I should be more clear, like "Three new rifleman" or "Three riflemen again" :D

Steph
Aug 09, 2004, 11:46 AM
And then "Three new riflemen again"
...
and then "Three new riflemen that I have not done before, and that are again new compared to the previous new riflemen I did some time ago"

Sweet.

Especially like the Russian one and the great Senegalese ! Bravo !

I must say I cannot recognize the Chinese uniform though.

Oh and BTW great job on the three first (...you have already done...etc... lol). Wanted a good Turkish guy for a long time !

Yeah, the Chinese's uniform is quite dark blue, and his "hat" looks a bit like a beret but on unit size those details are hard to reflect.

How very nice Riflemen.
Very much needed, so I must ask if an Indian (for Gandhi) could be created.
Not sure if the Sepoy will be created by Dom Pedro, but perhaps some Sikh riflemen from mid 1900 century would be tops.
Indian units have always been in the backwater, even further behind then africans, chinese and latin-americans.
Just think about the fine earlier picture of an Indian Chariot... It would be a great addition.

BeBro still has 39 units in my wish list... He already has done 9 of them... So let's pray he will continue, and a lot of your request might be fulfilled... :worship:

As long as he puts a date... then I won't miss any.

@Steph: I'm fairly certain that if BeBro did 30 more units for you, he'd most assuredly fill in A LOT of gaps for me as well :)

Apparently Mobilize didn't see it either... these are NEW riflemen, Mobilize.

There's the August 8th and August 9th thread.

I think to avoid further confusion I'll simply include next time in the thread title what guys exactly are part of the pack.

And as said I don't take any requests for a while now, but those other units from Steph's list should be quite useful for everyone. For example, since an Indian riflemen was requested, on Steph's list is also a Sikh soldier/riflemen. The rest of the list is mainly WWI and WWII infantry, some cavalry from the 19th/ealry 20th century, some medieval units and some more....Most of them will be made.

You are scratching on the throne of Balou ;) .

But I want more modern infantry like (you know :D U.S. Navy Seals). Or there are a series to do with modern british infantry then our Bundeswehr and so on. I think you or kinboat are the right men to do such great work :)

OH! Holy cow! These are amazing, the Sengalese Rifleman is one of the best units I've seen so far. Heh.. Disneyland memories.

Hello BeBro,

The Senegalese Rifleman is light-skinned in his AttackA anim and dark-skinned in the other flcs.

Also, the death, and fidget anims are great, the AttackB (w/bayonet) is fine, but the AttackA (as with all in this series) seems to lean forward excessively, especially when in the SW view. Don't know how to put this, but they just look a bit too "jaunty", like they might like to sip pina coladas and talk about window treatments (not that there's anything wrong with that). And in the run anims, these soldiers appear to be barely keeping their feet under them... it can be justified, I'm sure, but is still a bit unusual.

I hope you can forgive me being hypercritical. I offer it in the spirit that you seem keen to continue improving upon your work.

Thanks for pointing me to the color problem. :) I attached an AttackA anim with the Senegalese in dark skin in the first post.

To the rest, hm, I like it in this way. And changing it would mean a nearly complete rework, since attack a, b, fortify and death are all in the same angle in which they are leaning forward (fortify in the end, death at the beginning).

Hm! Have the units got so slowly moves in realgame than in youre previews? It would be a pity, they are damn good animated!!

Yes, they could be faster. Here is my suggestion for the speed:

AttackA: 50

AttackB: 50

Death: 50

Default: 80

Fortify: 66

Run: 41

Fidget / Victory depends from the action
