Rumors are spreading about a future war with Babylon

Black_Hole opens up the recruitment center, hoping to turn our small military into a large one, that will rival the ones in Babylon and Rome!
He unloads a small amount of equipment into his center.
He has bows, spears, shields, and leather armor.

As he raises the Japanatica flag, bamboo bugles play the national anthem(Found here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=95829) ;) )

(Except that we haven't officially made contact with the Romans, just their borders)

A Swordsman I shall be. :salute:

Pave strolled past the Recruitment Center. He saw lot's of men joinng the Japanatican army as swordsmens and warriors. His (very patriotic) neibourgh insisted, that Pave would join the glorious army, at least for Japanatica. But some block in Pave's head prevented to be armed. He always saw wars as something, that should be illegal or something. That was the main reason why he joined the small group of Zenedoshou.

And secondly, he wouldn't really be that good as a swordsman. Swish, swash, and the enemy slices him to dogfood, before Pave could even see his killer. But there was one thing Pave was good. Horseriding. But as long he can't hold any weapons with him while riding on back of his horse, he was useless to the army.

Soon a young man comes with a recuitment flyer*.
- Join the Japanatican army! Great salarys! Join today!
- Not today, sorry. Some other time.

*Yes, I do know we dont know writing yet, sorry about that.

BCLG walks up to a lonely looking Pave, he could tell he was disturbed and was not signing up,
"Whats wrong young man?" Ask's BCLG
"Well i have a certain inability to hold a sword corretly" Replied Pave "But i can ride like the wind upon a horse"
"Well" replied BCLG "we could make use of you in the Order Of The Samurai, and if you are still willing to sign up to the recruitment centre, why not volenteer to be a scout?"
"okay" mutter's Pave, looking slightly happier that someone spoke to him
"Oh and by the way, dont forget to sign up in the tournament thread, your horseriding talents could be in great demand there" BCLG shouts at him as he is walking away.

OOC= remember to add your skill's in the character registry if you havnt all ready. :D

BH overhering the conversation, tell Pave "we offer free training in the areas you wish to apply", Black_Hole goes off to town to post posters and says "Ill be back in 2 hours"

For once in his lifetime, Myein had the opportunity to help dear Japanatica. The pamphlet in his hand recently written in the strange symbols made by the Zulu. Did potentate Tokugawa truly think that these markings were worth all that gold, and even the deep secrets of Silver Bronze? Still, he had to admit that it was useful, in a sense. Maybe Tokugawa and his chief advisor David Shack used this to recruit more able-bodied men for their army.

Babylon, Rome, Zululand, and Iriquois. To Myein, they did not seem much of a threat, but this man here, who had seemingly mastered the Zulu symbols enough to write the flyers, most likely suspected otherwise.

Finally, the road opened up to the recruitment center. Various weapons were laid out neatly. However, one intrigued him.

He fingured the blade of an iron-forged sword, one that Japanatica had rarely seen the likes of. It was amazingly sharp. Myein imagined that if he thrust it into the bronze armor the plating would give way like wood.

"Do you like it?" BH asked. (( OOC: I hope that I am not controlling you too much, but Immo says that I can hold short conversations with other players ))
"Is this really Iron?" Myein responded.
"Yes, but it isn't pure. Gods know what would happen if what iron the government had was spared as a mere display."
Myein was definitely amazed. "How many do they have?"
"Not much, I'm afraid. They have yet to secure a good source of Iron. But people are colonizing one soon near the Zojoji hills."
Soon, he had said. Myein wanted no more than to be able to fight for Japanatica, weilding one of these state-of-the art Iron swords.
"Well, I'm in," he shrugged.

BlackHeart walks into the recruitment center. He is wearing simple farmer clothes but what is impressive is the skin of tiger he is wearing as a cloak. His face is painted with streaks and dashes of yellow, indicating some sort of warrior status or symbol.

"I wish to join the Japanatican army. I have experience as a leader and as a soldier."

BlackHeart bows.

"I would prefer an axe, if you have any. Otherwise swordsman I shall be. I am reluctant to sit upon these horse-beasts for I fear what would happen if one should stumble and fall in battle."

I think I may have an axe in the back office, ahh here it is. Thank-You for your help blackheart

BlackHeart closely examines his new axe.
"I am afraid I cannot use this axe sir. It is too bulky to be of an use in massed combat. I could hurt friend as well as foe when I swing this axe. If you would allow me the use of a blacksmith I can instruct him to build the axes to my specifications."

BlackHeart is shown the way to the army's smithy.

"Hello sir. Please, if you won't mind, make me 2 axes. Both will have one crescent blade of iron on one end, a sharp pointed tip on the other end with the shaft ending in a sharp tip, too. I wish the handle to be wrapped in leather or a linen of some kind for extra grip and strength. The handle part of the shaft should not exceed 12 inches because I intend to wield the axes with one hand each. Again, if it is not too much to ask, could you engrave pictures of the magnificent godly beings, dragons, onto the axe. I believe if I have them they will guide me to victory."

BlackHeart bows to the blacksmith and leaves him to his work.

The thought struck Myein as his first chance. He did not expect his training to begin so soon, but BH thought otherwise.
"I shall go with you," Myein answered.

"Babylon, eh? I certainly owe them one..." Then he speaks up, "You're going to Babylon? I've got certain... skills you can use. All I request is that I can leave anytime I want. Alright?"

"I will be happy to join, on this mission" BCLG proceeds to look BH in the eye "just dont expect me to sign up for the army, there are bigger things" BCLG walks off gripping his katana.

well i would have said sword but 'BCLG walking away grabbing his sword' may have sound just a bit weird :D

With Bars and Spa Resorts (both with restaraunts), medieval sporting tourneyments, and Samurais everywhere, I'd say we were pretty close to Katanas.

There was an initial thought that maybe we should do the RPG in medieval times only. I still like this idea. It allows us to be the best of Japan without amy bizzare events. Maybe we could parallel the tech tree from Chivalry on?

Yer the Middle Ages were the best part of Japanese Culture in IMHO and limited knowledge of course,

In story:
Anyone who wants to can come, we depart tomorrow night at around 7! Gather equipment and meet me here, ill have weapons for anyone who doesnt have one. Also bring camoflagued or black clothing, it will help greatly.

Black_Hole, his cadets, and some people that want to get revenge from babylon ;) are on there way. It is late night and BH senses the coolness of that particulular night. "I hope you got some rest, as we will not stop until reaching babylon!" he says to the people following him. It was nearing midnight and they spotted some babylonian farms and decided to take a short break.

BlackHeart takes a quick survey of the Babylonian farms.

"Hmm maybe they have some nice healthy meat for dinner."

BlackHeart heads off from the main party and heads for one of the smaller Babylonian farms. When he gets there he notices that no one is home, which is quite puzzling. BlackHeart doesn't really care and goes straight for the chicken coops and grabs some chicken eggs and four healthy plump hens. He takes a tour around the property and thoroughly concludes that no one is home. He then heads back to camp to share his bountiful harvest with his fellow comrades.

Blackheart returns with fresh food. We have a small feast in a nearby forest and then set on. We started spying on the babylonians and notice they have an archer more advanced then ours and we take some notes on it, and wonder how these archers would last in battle.

So...erm...what now? :sad:

"I would like to get some of those Babylonians bows for a closer study."

In Story: The men(and women...) get black on to get ready to storm the capital's main office. "We must be careful" Black_Hole said, "they have many rock boobie traps. " They found the capital and are taking another break outside of it, it is 4 am.

*Ixosis rides into the camp on his warsteed. He looks around at the raw recruits. These men need a solid strategy to get into the capitol. He dismounts and finds Black_Hole planning an entry in his HQ tent.*

"Well Black_Hole, it seems as though you'll have some trouble getting in, as those bows will rip you apart if seen. I have brought with me a plan to get the documents with minimum contact."

*Ixosis unrolls a paper on the table, and it shows complete prints for the whole palace, and surrounding facilities.*

"I would like to volunteer to lead a small band inside, as I have been in the palace many times before, from my campaigns in the Roman Legions. There are numerous fake walls and hidden corridors, but also false floors and spike traps, not to mention many guards. But we can enter through the bath drains. From there we have access to the main hall, in which we will have to scale the pillars to the upper level. Upstairs there are 2 guard stations outside Hammurabi's room, where the documents are kept. Inside there are no guards as Hammurabi likes peace with his mistresses during the night. The documents are under the eigth floor tile from the top left foot of Hammurabi's bed. If you uncover the wrong tile you get a spear through your head. Anything you would like to suggest?"

"Do we have an escape route after storming the palace?... I'm all for storming the palace but maybe we should disguise ourselves so we do not appear to be Japanaticans. Blame this on the Romans or Iroquois!"

Excllent Idea blackheart and civanator, there already is a small enough group of us for all of us to go, i like the idea of blaming it on the romans :D

*Ixosis looks up from the plans.*

"I say we don't say anything unless asked, and even then we should say it was the Iriquois, not Rome. Anyway to get out, we'll repel down the side of the palace from the windows. From there we have to sprint 100 yards to the inner compound gate, and that's what this rope is for. We make this shape, which I call a lasso, and through it up around the studs in the wall, and scale it. On the other side is a pond where we can jump into. After that we'll have to use these reeds I've hollowed to stay under water until the guard patrol passes, as they will most likely be looking for the perpetrators. After that we must sprint an aditional 150 yards to the next wall, but we can jump up it as it is not too high. On the other side our horses will be waiting for us and we have to ride like the wind to the mountains because they will most certainly be following us. But, we will not travel as a group after leaving the outer compound walls. We must split ourselves so they will have a harder time tracking us. The last problem is that we need someone to hold the guards back until we get a safe distance from the city."

*Ixosis looked down at the plans one last time, and then looked back up.*

"I will stay back and give you all the time you need. Now we must ride out now or we will never make it in time before the next dawn."

"I'm all up for it," Myein answered at the notion of the plan.

"Um, sprinting? I must say, are you mad?! By the time we sprint 50 yards half of our number would be shot down by their arrows. This is not at all very stealthy,and we will need stealth since our numbers are less than theirs. If they were to be alerted by our prescence at all our mission would fail and none of us would get out alive. Wouldn't you think they would send additional troops to the palace? Anyways, our plans were to storm the palace, not run in and run out."

*Ixosis looks at blackheart.*

"That's why I volunteered to keep them occupied while you all sprint out. Don't worry, you will have numerous buildings and trees for cover when you cover the distance. It would be almost impossible for an arrow to hit you, that's why I have chosen this route out. Trust me, I have been here before when I was in the Roman Legion."

*Ixosis realizes he slipped about his backround. Of course, he was obviously had a Roman backround, but no one knew he was in the Legion. But now they know, and they would most likely find out he was the General of the Southern Legion.*

Jack Ijoum walks down the street when he hears cries of 'Are you ready for the possible war with Bablyon?" Jack answers "Yes! And is lead by Black_Hole into the center for more info.

Damn romans all the troubles in my life are there fault.... They think there so good.
Ill join your army if i can kill Romo's (slur for roman citizens)

We must be patient Nobody, the romans time will come soon, sooner that most believe hopefully :D

((JackA, could you please keep in reference to the storyline... everyone is already on the expedition when you signed up so instead of signing up at the center you could meet us on the way or something))

Jack Ijuno met the expedition on they way and asked if he could join it.

I am a terrible Soldier, but is there a position open as Lt. Black_Hole's secretary. If a position like that exists, what's the salary
