I am trying to play civ3+conquests on my PC (Amd 1800+512mb ram+NV 4200 ti)
but the native resolution of the game is just too small.
I have a 19' display (not a tft), but the resolution is probably 640x480, I would like to play at least at 1024x786, but I'd prefer 1280x1024.
I've read several articles about a civilization3.ini change, but I can't find that *.ini, so I hope anybody can help me, because it's no fun playing at such a low resolution.

The default (and lowest) resolution for Civ3 is 1024x768. If you want to increase that put the following in your "conquests.ini" file:

VideoMode=1280

That will force it to use 1280x1024 res. :)

You can also use KeepRes=1.

BTW, "VideoMode" is wrong. There needs to be a space in there -- "Video Mode".

I am sorry, I tried it in all variations, (in civ 3 and in conquests) but it just doesn't work, is there no other way to do that?
