BTW, the Naval Lander came out great! Love the detail in the Attack anim with the empty shells being ejected! Pretty darn cool!!

Let's say for the moment I replaced him with this one. Maybe I add your's too, haven't decided yet. Depends also a bit what I have to do, so before I start making lots of versions for one guy I finish new units first.

I made him primarily because I liked the weapon (had the idea with the empty shells immediately when I saw the pic) ;)

It's not a pb as long as it's easy to differentiate from the PTW infantry

Nah, I'll probably do the other Japanese and Chinese WWII guys first, since the SOP guys need them too. But I can do Brits and US guys after that ;)

I'll have to agree we do need a better US Marine to go with this unit. Which is also missing from SOE, SOP, and SOW. LOL. then can come the chinese units. LOL.

I can certanly use this unit as a Anti-Tank riflemen since the gun he has almost looks the same as the Anti-Tank gunners from RoNs.

Another great unit in such a short period! Which leads me to hope perhaps if - whenever you might get to it ;) - you are doing Chinese WWII infantry is there any chance of getting one with the German equipment the elite formations used in 1937? It'd be standard German for the period I believe except shorts or puttees and standard Chinese footwear (or I guess that's German helmet and tunic over the standard KMT gear)? Most of these units were chewed up early but many of the remaining elite units kept this uniform at least up to 1945.

no, most japanese ww2 guns have a bayonet on them. the submachine gun he has, has a bayonet on it too.

Actually, he has the propper rifle, or alteast it looks it. The Type 40 or something. In reality it, and most other japaneese juns, were garbage. But it looks cool.

Yeah, the Japanese guns were pretty poor in quality. The main flaw is that they were just to darn complicated... they were thinking style rather than simplicity. I mean, they had rifles with a special sight for shooting down airplanes! Shooting down airplanes with a rifle? Possible?... yes. Probable?... no. Smart?... definitely not.

Mobilize, it is in the same size as the others, but since it is just ca. a half head bigger than Firaxis' infantry I don't see much a problem in this. ;)

John, I also thought of making modern infantry units, but before I have not finished the stuff I'm doing currently I will not make any promises ;)

That's still awesome - I'm guessing it'll be 'standard' Kuomintang gear mid-war (so to speak :lol: ) which will be a great standard KMT unit. I might actually churn out my particular one if I get the time (and the TALENT ;) ). This is the field uniform (pretty much, even this varied a lot) though since everyone is unfamiliar with it.

unfortunately I cannot use 3ds MAX models. I use an older version of Cinema4D to render my units, and it cannot read the MAX format. But maybe another creator could help you here?
