The first meeting would be nice. Surprises from everywhere. But I have no doubt that both sides would quickly adapt & change their methods to mathc their opponent. Em-mass I believe the knight and its deverstating lance charge.
Man vs man would depend on the skill and experience of the fighter.

Of course one can look at the mongal invasion and the engenious tactics used played far greater effect then the qualities of indiviual fighters.
